It is.

The one we charter is set out like a regular 340. Loads of empty/wasted space.

Unfortunately they don't make them anymore.

At least theres a little white on the plane, wouldn't be surprised if Nike get hold of it and paint it all blue, then if things get tight for money they can sell it cheap to Coventry City :)
 
Also the club wouldn't want to take the responsibility of transporting hundreds of fans overseas.
Let other airlines or people like Spike do that.
Someone mentioned the lack of planes to do this, correctly, and also there would be the lack of staff to fly and service the plane too, all for a 2 or 3 hour flight and return.
 
This in principle is a great idea.........

However can you imagine a plane full of City fans travelling to a European away game on a private jet, the beer would be gone before we got over Birmingham and that's just for starters!

Exactly! And that's what I meant above by saying the club wouldn't take responsibility for organising such excursions!
Not unless there were club stewards like Big Helen on board like the old supporters coaches, enforcing a no drink ban and keeping every one in check!

Or like we had on the plane up to the Faroes , the pilot came over the tannoy saying the toilets were full so they were out of bounds - we still had an hour or so to go !

Like I said earlier, we use a private leasing company that don't use their aircraft, generally speaking, for commercial flying. Hifly shuttle high ranking government officials and the like, around the world. Their planes don't come cheap but we'd rather do that than the Sheik use his own airline.

I've worked quite a lot on that aircraft in hold system is fucked so it's Fucking hard work posh as fuck upstairs though

this did indeed happen on the Bredbury Airways charter to Barcelona a couple of years ago...
