We were 12th in the old Division 2. Below Ipswich and above Rotherham. We finished the season 11th. Newcastle and Northampton Town got promoted...

We were bottom of the league when I was born. Couple of weeks later we were relegated. Jesus, it must have been a sign!

Never mind me old bird, the table shows two days after me birthday, 17 Apr 47, we were champions of the old 2nd Division - promoted, with Burnley. And to think, Dave Ewing was yet to sign for us.
