City were 13th on the 9th September 1985.

I was born in December 1967. The day before I was born, it had snowed heavily. My mum shoveled the snow from our path which was what set her off into labour (I was 2 weeks late).

On the same day, City played Spurs and beat them 4-1 in a game that has become known as the Ballet on Ice. When I was 40 a friend gave me a copy of the paper containing the report of that game.

The link in the OP to the website confirms that we went third after that game - rags top of the league.

Still, we all know how season 67-68 ended up...
