We were the best in the league offensively and defensively by some way. For whatever reason they've changed the approach though and it's gone shite again.

Isn’t it more based on the fact that we get more corners than everyone else and concede fewer? I think our %, certainly offensively, has always been fairly shocking.

Id guess you are dead right. People often defend our overall poor set pieces with the argument we have the best record etc but it's really just a numbers thing.

I think I get more pissed off about our throw ins than set pieces though, they are fucking dreadful!! Haha!

Funnily enough I often bang on about throw ins whilst I’m there. In almost 40 years of having a season ticket and 49 years since I first watched city, I can honestly say that, whoever the manager has been, from Mercer to Pep and all those in between, we’ve always been absolutely clueless when it comes to taking a throw in. I reckon it’s a sky blue curse…..

Set-Pieces are one of those things in football that all fans think are shit even when they aren't. We had loads of complaints about it last year despite the aforementioned best in the league status.
