City bar in Chicago?

Just looked and the globe pub did mainly do city games but since a decrease in people coming they changed it to all teams and sports.

I think they release this weeks schedule later today and they do the fa cup, league cup, CL, Europa league and PL so more than likely they will show the city v Barcelona if they release the schedule today I will let you know.

Long shot I know...but any knowledge of a bar in Chicago used by City fans? Mate of mine just moved there and is looking for somewhere to watch the Barca game on Tuesday. Cheers in advance...

I was in Chicago last summer and the one thing that took me by surprise was their interest in football, and more specifically, the Premier League.
On the day that the USA played Portugal there were 10,000 locked out of the local fanfest.

Trust me, you're mate won't have a problem. There are dozens of sports bars and all of them will show the Barca game.

The Globe is the correct answer. Probably 15ish City or more every match. Ex pats and americans. If you can't make it to the north side, downtown tou have fado's. With the nbc tv deal, every match on the weekends is on, enen something like qpr v. Stoke. We really are spoilt for choice.

Worked in Chicago from Sept 2013 until June 2014 .spent many an early morning watching City at the Fado Pub , pretty central just off North state street http://www.fadoirishpub.com/chicago/....

multi screen all prem league games ..plus 6 national rugby etc ...standard irish ..watched the 3 nil away win Derby game last year (Edin scored after 1 min) great atmosphere ..that crazy Villa away game was another...bunch of South Africans watching rugby at the same ended up having a few beers with these guys great day

Been going to Fado for years now--the fish and chips are the best this side of Tony's Chippy, and the whole menu is superb. Excellent whisky and draught selection. A few City supporters, including Stevie D (one of the managers). Rag support is down (non existent midweek), but they stay in there corner when they do show up. Largest crowd is usually Chavs, with both red and blue Scousers, a smattering of Hammers, Spuds, and good Spanish support for Real and Barca--all are passionate and enjoy good footie talk. You will meet people from round the world there. World Cup matches had a waiting queue 2 blocks long. Manager Tommy Dowd is genuinely one of the best hosts I've met, and his staff works hard. Its located in the heat of the city, and a two block walk from the Red Line train.

Been to the Globe a few times, MCFC Club meets there, and its a good pub, too. If Fado didn't exist, I would go the the Globe regularly. Fado, though, is my favorite, without reservation.
