Proper beer monsters like?
Probably an unpopular opinion but I think there’s nothing more cringe than the football factory type fans. Stone island and Adidas classics, them stupid goggle jackets and flares. Beer monsters, what a term!
Not that I’d like to meet a group of ‘beer monsters’ and share that opinion haha. Think I’m past the age of drinking at the game now, I just have a bovril and a pie to keep warm![/QUOTE
You sound like you are just past it full stop
These kids who wear the clothes do so like we all did in the past to be part of a trend. Most do not want to fight but they want to wear good clothes and these Stone Island, CP Company (the jackets with goggles) and Adidas classics are good clothes/attire
Perhaps the real problem is we have let them down as they do not have their own identity or have not been given the confidence to create their own like we did in the 60 / 70/ 80's
Blazin' Squad have rebranded themselves as Keto Mob.
You might think they are good clothes/attire. Other people, including this chap, think they are wank.
So what? It doesn't mean you are right (or wrong). Although neither of you sound like you are on the cutting edge of fashion. Him with his flat cap and slacks and you with your admiration for a style that blokes in their 50s are wearing and have been wearing for the last 30 years.
I think you are well out of touch though if you think kids haven't got their own identities. There are many more and far more inventive sub cultures and what you might call identities amongst kids these days than the pretty boring, uninventive 'identity' of standard football fan gear wearing bloke that you seem to be eulogising.
The kids who buy and sell the supreme gear are a really into it, that’s their culture. Funny cos when I was growing up in the 90’s & early 00’s, music was what the subcultures revolved around. You had the urban kids, the garage kids, the chavs, the rock kids, punks etc.. now the music thing has gone and it seems to be brands that define them. I could be wrong thoughGood to hear as that proves the kids are alright

You're right, one pint equals 8 trips to the bogs.Probably an unpopular opinion but I think there’s nothing more cringe than the football factory type fans. Stone island and Adidas classics, them stupid goggle jackets and flares. Beer monsters, what a term!
