Yes im sure it is purely stats driven, going off his goals per game ratio before city, which is around 0.74, x 24 (games left) it would be 18 goals so 4 short of 40, whereas his current ratio at City is around 1.38 x 24 would be around 33 goals which would smash it, if he stays fit obviously, so its a tough call.
