City Bets - 2022/23

Which is why, contrary to what a lot of people may think, why bookmakers make their profits, not from losing big hitters but from the millions of small stakes lottery type bettors.

It’s also why they spend most of their advertising budget encouraging such bets.
Yeah to be fair that’s about right,be surprised when you add up all the couple of quid upwards on 6-7 timers and so forth,a few grand on one team and walk away then same again but the odd time you’ll come a cropper but the majority you’ll not, where as 5,6,7 timers is obviously more risky, you never see bookies closing them and undertakers are raking it in ..

FWIW, you can lay the Haaland bet off on Betfair for a bigger guaranteed profit than what Sky Bet are offering, even taking into account Betfair’s 5% commission. Downsides to this are:

1) There’s currently not much liquidity so it might not all match straight away
2) If you do lay it off, it ties your money up for the rest of the season
Don't understand any of that, lol.

You have turned £10 into £1000 take it lad. It’s a mind fuck even if he does score 40 you made £1000 off a £10 bet anything can happen to Haaland he gets injured it’s over cash out lad.

Or conversely, you effectively have a grand on an even money shot, yet they’ll only take a tenner off you if it loses.

What would people have done without the advent of the cash out option, not knocking it but I’m sure some on here have had decent bets running and it would have been interesting if only they had a cash out option to see what they could have took/got ..

I just can’t see Haaland scoring 40 in the Prem just think he will get 34 or 35. I’m just saying a grand in hand off a £10 bet is a good return.

I know exactly what you’re saying and I wouldn’t dream of telling anybody that they’re right or wrong to cash out.

My point is, people who do 250/1 bets tend to do a lot of them and very, very rarely see one come close. If you’re going to cash out at the first sign of a decent profit you’re reducing your chances of ever landing one from slim to zero.

My offer is in……
