Not really as the paramount end game is winning. These cash out scenarios play on the punters mind especially when you've had a much much higher offer and just watched it dwindle down to the point of you think "fuck it there's no way I'm cashing in now" let it ride.

But in reality he's still right now on a 40/1 winner for £20. Guaranteed already past the post. Something to still feel proud about to get One over on the bookies.

Each to their own though and I hope to fuck Erling does indeed help these guys out and reach 40.

Should always check the wording carefully on bets like this beforehand. 40+ means 40 or more.

But some bookmakers, William Hill in particular like wording their bets as “over…” So “over 1 shot on target “ for example actually means two or more.

I know mate - but it's the glory of initially picking the bet (at it's biggest odds) and then also resisting temptation of the cash out.

Logically you are 100% correct of course..........

That's why a lot put 1.5 etc. I do think the 40 goal bet is 40 or more, otherwise they'd of put 40.5

And if, as we hope, we are, that's doubly a shame that he wasn't on to take (score) the pen on Saturday, would have been another kdb assist and, of course, another for the big boys on 40+ (I have a little interest on both!)
