Starting a new bets thread, for the new season.

Last season was spectacularly profitable for City bets, for me, as my 'comforter' bets (i.e. bet against City and have a few pints on the house if we lose) came in week after week, especially in November and December.

All odds Betfair;

For the league, we're 3rd fav this year at 4.8, which represents our longest odds in.... years? 2.12 for top 2 and 1.24 for top 4. I do fancy us to battle at the top, but 11/10 for 2nd..... not going there.

We're 29s on the handicap with a paltry +3 points, bit rubbish

The Viking is clear fav at 2.8 for top goalscorer (8.0 bar), which again is too short considering he finished 3rd last season.

And we're 1.49 away on opening at Wolves, which i dont fancy due to lack of pre-season!! So far the market looks to be hedging on City success but not the outright title.

In Europe we're 6th favs at 11.

So, not much to go on pre-season. When the markets develop i'd be interested in City matches having a lot of goals.... at the moment it's 1.7 for over 2.5 gls away at Wolves. If that grows to 1.8, that's my opening season bet.

For our opening game at Wolves I’m probably going for a bet builder of : over 2.5 goals, both teams to receive a card and both teams to score.
with who? and do you know roughly what odds? i assume you lose a bit of %age on each bet, individually, in bet builders?

(i mean you must as both teams to score and overs aren't exclusive)

I use bet365 mate because for bet builders they have the best odds and give you odds boosts if you place 3 or more selections. The opening weekend fixtures aren’t on there yet so I’ll keep an eye out for when they are. So for instance here’s an example for Cardiff v Port Vale tonight (I’m not betting on this by the way, it’s just for reference).

I put us on to win the double, CL/ PL, after we thrashed Juventus in the CWC, maybe hasty in hindsight but 34/1

These are all value bets (above true odds) for today's game.

LiveScoreBet - City win and Reijnders SOT - 3.57
Virgin Man City to win, Haaland score or assist 3.65
Unibet – Tijjani Reijnders - Over 0.5 Player’s shots on target 2.42
Priced Up Man City win to nil 3.25
Midnite Haaland 2 SOT 2.0
Talk Sport Bet- BTTS 2.0
Bet365 over 0.5 first half goals 2.0
Hills City Win and over 4.5 3.50
Paddy Haaland Over .5 SOT 2.0

That Reijnders 66/1 POTY is the value for sure, doubt that price exists any longer though, was the one to be on.

Burnt YET AGAIN on Haaland over half a shot on target at evens. Every bastard time. I never thought I’d say the phrase Richarlison looked twice the player until today.

anyone tempted by City for the Champions League? we're currently 12/1 ish, the outsiders of the 'big boys', ahead of a jump to the pack led by Chelsea, Napoli and Atletico (25s, 28s, 30s)

6 teams ahead of us in the betting, but we might be worth a sneaky each way. 8/1 to top the league system.

Had a few quid on Dortmund U19's to beat our lads today. We have 5 potential starters away at u17 world cup. On at 10/1 odds now 15/2 ! PP and Bet Fraud had very low maximum stakes so on with Sky.
Nothing like those odds on Sky 19/4.

I was looking at goals in the game but the odds on over 4.5 is only 7/4 & over 5.5 is 7/2....crap prices.

we're a tough bet at the moment, getting some good results after an inconsistent start. Both teams to score was my friend against Bournemouth and i'm tempted again against Dortmund, at 1.75
