City bus scheme for home games - bus tracking (P91)

Update on the (comedy) Macc bus. An hour after the game finished we are now in the centre of Stockport. Despite being ideally positioned (at Connnell college) for the normal A34 route to Bramall/Macc we have inexplicably had a tour of Ashton and the M60. Now we’re sat on the A6 for the foreseeable future. The only redeeming feature is that the driver has no
Interest in taking any payment. I had high hopes for this service, should have known better
great going, shite coming back. Why they waited 20 mins to go I don’t know and then took a shite route back. As you say at least it was free.

Think the idea was to avoid the lights at Alan Turing Way by the stadium because they’re on red in all directions for about 20 minutes for pedestrians leaving ground

We were parked the right side of that at the college. Straight out and into Longsight. The closed lights work in our favour from there

Almost every train I've travelled on via Oxford Road Station has had to wait patiently outside Deansgate Station until trains coming from Liverpool/N Wales have gone through. The Ordsall Chord is almost never used because of this. Oxford Road Station has only one line through to Platform 14 at Piccadilly. A line that also travels to the Airport.
oxford road has 4 platforms that can get to piccadilly on platforms 13 and 14 but i was saying surely they could run a circular service for a couple of hours before and after the game. what does it matter if football fans get delayed for 5 minutes?

But. Apart from that ;)

You’re right. I thought you meant for the coach to go M60 A34.
It would have helped if someone had explained what the delay was for. It wasn’t anything to do with latecomers - the woman with the clipboard kept asking for the guard & for numbers of those who had return “tickets” & who had got on just to go home??

On the whole though, not a bad journey
