Doesnt sound like there will be a bus for tha route this season, but it’s a trial and could be expanded.
But as Georgie Fame would say. This is clearly good news, it means the club are aware of the transport issues ans are trying to resolve it. A work in progress no doubt, but its a start.
Yes, anyone using this needs to remember it’s a trial and like any trial things will go wrong. Hopefully they learn enough though to turn it into a successful service. This is clearly good news, it means the club are aware of the transport issues ans are trying to resolve it. The metro from Prestwich goes straight to the stadium, I've used it from Heaton Park,Surprised Prestwich and/or Whitefield not included, a lot of match going blues in those areas but believe there are coaches to home games from a couple of local pubs
Does it? Thought you had to change in town. The metro from Prestwich goes straight to the stadium, I've used it from Heaton Park,
Did it a few years ago, didn't remember changing anywhere, but yeah looking at map, have to change at Piccadilly.Does it? Thought you had to change in town.
It's a good start and comes from one of the many surveys. It's welcome, especially for night games. To be able to get on a bus direct to and from the stadium without having to change and hang around waiting as you do is great.
It's certainly a safer option to get home than the public transport options for night gamesIt depends how long the bus is going to wait after the match, especially after midweek matches. People want to get home quickly after a midweek match. They don’t want to be sat on a bus for 20 minutes after the match. Then you have to factor in traffic, buses are slower than cars as a rule, and people getting off at bus stops, etc.

There is that aspect of course. I would imagine it's not much different than waiting for one of the Piccadilly buses or the tram though. If somehow there could be a bus corridor or something where they had a priority an hour before and after the game to move them more quickly it would be great. I realise that might be difficult to achieve however.
