City bus scheme for home games - bus tracking (P91)

Fairly certain there are no trains or trams on boxing day and doubtful whether there will be any kind of normal bus service .
They put on extra trams last year for the rags’ Boxing Day game according to Google and buses are usually Sunday service on a bank holiday, with some exceptions I expect. Been that way for decades.

Don’t know about trains as we don’t have them near me.

As we enter the festive period, we start to see an uplift of traffic on the highway network. This is due to a variety of factors including worsening weather conditions and darker nights, more people using cars, and increased travel into Manchester city centre. This is particularly true on weeknights when journey times across the network increase by an average of 20%.

We’re keenly aware that fans want a reliable method of transport to the game, and not to have to worry about arriving in time for the match.

Therefore, for the Feyenoord [8pm Tuesday 26 November] and Nottingham Forest fixtures [7.30pm Wednesday 4 December] we have altered our departure times, due to the expected increase in journey times.

This will ensure services have sufficient time to travel to the stadium in case of any delays on the network.

TfGM and Manchester City will also continue to provide passengers with on-the-day service information through our respective social media channels.

For now, timings for weekend fixtures will remain the same but we will be paying close attention to journey times and may alter timetables if necessary.

We will provide an update in relation to the Everton [Boxing Day] fixture in due course.

We thank everyone for their continued support on both the buses and inside the stadium, and look forward to seeing you at the Etihad soon.

Timetables are now viewable on the TfGM website: tfgm.com/man-city/bus-network

It's very helpful giving out that information I am sure the matchday bus users appreciate it. Great communications. Thanks

Yes ,100% agree with you Franny.
It's excellent service from TFGM to keep us updated on the new match day buses.
I'm just waiting for the news reference the Everton game on Boxing Day.

How many fans have ditched the car to use this service ??

If they put on a service from the Thorncliffe Miners Welfare & Sociol Club I'll give it a whirl.
