It's a great service on the whole and a welcome addition to other forms of travel to and from the game. People have to understand though that travelling by road can be fraught with problems and delays for a variety of reasons as frustrating as that can be.

Having said that yesterday I caught the Didsbury service number 5 as I was heading straight into Didsbury for a drink. I'd never caught it before and the buses were tightly parked so I couldn't quite make out if it was the number 5 service or not. The driver had his door closed and was on his phone. He reluctantly opened it and on boarding I asked if this was indeed the Didsbury service. His reply was, "I don't know you tell me." I answered that he was the driver so I'd expect him to know where he was going. For regular users of this service is the driver always as happy lol? I usually catch the Altrincham bus and the regular driver on there is a diamond, friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Probably a rag pal, ours have been nothing but great

Probably a rag rude ****, needs removing from his job.

MC12 was 20 minutes late arriving at Ramsbottom.
The driver (good guy) managed to keep to the schedule between stops on the way to the ground so kudos for that.
Just made us a little anxious for a while.
Prefer using the bus to driving and I can write "Bruno is a twat" in the condensation on the window.
Set a blue flare off....make a proper day of it :)

Was this on MC11? It was really busy yesterday so we were just making sure passengers who had bought a return ticket could get on but usually if it’s not full it’s fine to buy a single one way. We are working with the operator and looking at passenger counts to see if this was a one off or needs an additional service. I am really sorry you got turned away yesterday and any inconvenience that caused to you.
Great service but would be good to know if there is any change of policy on one way travel, as for evening games we only use MC8 for return to Macc. If we get to the bus and can’t get on it’ll be a nightmare getting to Picadilly for the last (crushed) train. Thanks

Hi, got the number 5 after the game yesterday for first time this season and was bit surprised that despite dropping the stop in moss side this season, the bus still took the same route to Withington via moss lane east and Princess road, which seems to be a bit of a long way round if not needed for that stop. Wondering would it not be better to continue up upper brook st/birchfield road and then coming onto wilmslow road via dickenson road or mauldeth road? Be interested if has been looked at, what others using the bus think etc

I got this service for the first time yesterday and given the driver's surly response to my question (.See my other post ) I'd say he had only a vague clue where he was going and couldn't care less. Customer service wasn't his strong point.

The number is also in the side window near the entrance doors if you catch it again.

I was pretty certain I was on the right bus but I just wanted to double check with the driver I was as I didn't want to end up miles from.my destination. All he had to do was say yes. I was the first person on the bus so it wasn't like he was under any pressure.

Glad to hear you’re usually happy with the service and sorry to hear the driver wasn’t very chirpy, definitely not what we want you to be greeted with! I’ll pick this up with the operator. Look forward to seeing you next time!

Hello, no change of policy we always just have the number of returns expected to ensure we don’t leave anyone behind. MC8 was busy last night, but everyone was able to board with no issues. I massively understand that would be a nightmare, we will keep an eye on numbers and add additional services as and where required if numbers keep increasing.

It's a great service, even the miserable driver didn't detract from it. I banged on the window to say hello to you as you walked past if you remember lol.

Again a great service….slight hiccup yesterday the 9x was displaying 9 (no x) and the drivers route printout was for the no 9 so he went past the new Davyhulme Circle stop.
Luckily we managed to get the driver to stop (a couple of hundred yards further on) and the people at the bus stop burnt a couple of hundred calories running to catch us up.

Then on the return the passengers who should have been on the original No 9 all got on the 9x which was still not showing the ‘X’ resulting in the bus being unnecessarily rammed.

The driver by the way was great and really apologetic.

I am sure just a teething problem.

Thanks for flagging this, I will make sure it’s sorted for the next game, it’s really not jogging weather at the moment, so don’t want that! Apologies!

Don't remember seeing this driver last season but tbf he was fine with us. Maybe he had cheered up by the time we got on.
It was the route it took last season which made sense when dropping off a couple of people on princess rd but less sense now (in my opinion). I'd assumed, apart from low demand, the stop had been dropped to avoid going round the houses. Otherwise quite frustrating for the people who did use that stop last season, if it continues to go that way without stopping for 1 min to let them get off. Bit odd
