To improve departure from Connell after the game the lights on Turing Way need to be re-sequenced. At the present buses turning left are delayed because traffic turning right is given priority, a simple change would make a significant difference.

It's a nightmare there in the morning too. Lots of cars cut down through Wilson st (where the college car park entrance is)

After they cut Grey Mare Lane in half with a pedestrian area near the swimming baths they have never changed the traffic light sequence. Years ago because more traffic used Grey Mare Lane it needed that right turn filter. But not not you only get the odd person turning right and hardly any traffic ever comes from Grey Mare Lane way...

Its the only reason I dont use this service more often.
Its great going, but can take up to 25 mins just to get on to the main road, its ridiculous.
Unfortunately with no trains this weekend I will have to use the service.
If you cant alter the lights is there nowhere else for the buses to set off from.

I agree!

It usually takes a good 25 minutes just to turn left onto Alan Turing Way. We’re talking a distance of about 30 metres.

If the traffic light priority was changed even slightly, then it would be to the benefit of all the matchday buses leaving Connell College.

All of them would arrive at their destinations 25 minutes earlier.

Can this be escalated to anyone - @matchdaybus? Thanks for all of your effort with the service, it’s very much appreciated.

Hello, due to recent industrial action at TfGM, we have been unable to carry out traffic signal interventions on matchdays. I am pleased to say the dispute has now been resolved and I’m hopeful these issues will no longer occur. Please let me know if you experience any further problems.

Hello, I am putting it down to the strike action that has been going on for a number of months. Tomorrow will be the first fixture since its been resolved so keep me posted on your experience and if you are facing the same issues I will have a chat with the traffic signal engineers to see what more can be done.

Roadworks on Broadway at Costco lights, 3 lanes into 1 causing havoc at the moment

Due to a tram fault there is a delay to services on the Ashton line. Tickets and passes can be used on the 7, 216, 219, 230 and 231 Bee Network buses.

MC6 is running 10 minutes late due to congestion. Apologies for the delay
Not sure where you get your info from but this was over 30 minutes late and half of the people waiting had already left .
The tracker just showed it stationary in Hazel Grove which didnt help.

Hello, at the time I posted I noticed it was stuck on the tracker so I called the operator and was told 10 minutes delay, I did ask to be kept informed of futher delays and the operator didn’t update me until the bus was close to the stadium, this is why I didn’t update again as all fans had boarded at this point so would have been aware of the delays. Apologies for this.

This was much better yesterday. Lights stayed on green for a good while & several buses got through

Bus 8 drivers are ace. Always on time now. Take best routes & we end up waiting at a Poynton/Bramhall because we’re 5 minutes early. Getting to the ground an hour before kickoff. Well done guys.

Is their any scope for extending the route for the bus that starts on the east Lancs near ellenbrook to start from Leigh. Would save getting stuck in traffic on a regular basis. Only other option is bus & tram and can take forever and a day.

The 11 starts in Tyldesley, much closer to Leigh.
