Match day bus 11 has been brilliant from day one. Our regular driver, Chris, is a nice fella and is much appreciated.I love it when people turn a negative into such a positive! My kind of person :-)

2 yesterday were ok, the third tasted ok but the collar wasn't rightSelf service Guinness in EL0 tasted funny last game as well. Not horrible but something was off with it.
That’s really good to hear! I’ll pass that onto the driverMatch day bus 11 has been brilliant from day one. Our regular driver, Chris, is a nice fella and is much appreciated.
You do know that @Bozzie is his dad don't you. That’s really good to hear! I’ll pass that onto the driver
I know you’re not employed by City, but the communication you give are the highest quality and speed of responses that are connected to anything to do with a Manchester City matchday. Thanks for the suggestion of the route, I will put it forward and see if it can be used. There’s a few bits that need looking at based on feedback from here and some emails Iv received so when I’m in work tomorrow I’ll go through everything and see what can be done and let you know as soon as possible. Hope that’s ok.
He still makes me bloody pay full fare … kids eh?

Out of interest, how full do the busses have to be before any changes are made? And by that I assume you mean laying on an extra bus to cope with the demand. Thanks for letting me know, it’s just the way the machines work unfortunately but I fully understand your view point on this and your worry about it getting to the point where it is to full. For your peace of mind, we do keep our eye on the numbers and would step in to make changes as soon as we feel like anyone would get left behind.
We got on the 17 at Wardley, was great and making good time but then we stopped outside the Crowne Plaza on Shudehill for about ten / fifteen minutes as he said we were too early for the Victoria pick up. With the traffic being horrendous with everything else on we just about got to see the kick off. The 45min before kick off from Victoria does seem to be cutting it fine. Also agree with the post re the route, Pollard street would make more sense.I am really sorry about this. I will have a look at the timetable for this for future fixtures, there is an event at co op tonight as well which wont have helped, the traffic is really bad around the ground. Apologies again for your experience.
When we discuss changes with the club, we need to provide data to demonstrate demand. At present, pre‑match passenger numbers remain relatively low, which makes it difficult to justify adding an additional service when there is insufficient demand on the inbound journey.Out of interest, how full do the busses have to be before any changes are made? I ride the No 10 home after every game. I'm usually one of the last to board, it's standing room only, and a bit of a squeeze, standing next to the driver compartment with no room to spare. It's absolutely rammed full on the bottom deck, with people perched in the luggage rack, and there has been at least one occasion when a couple have been refused boarding.
I started using the service when it began and appreciated it's comfort and time saving over the Metrolink. There is no comfort involved these days as it's just as crowded as the trams, and isn't a pleasant experience anymore from my perspective.
The time saving still exists, which I can't fault, but I dread the ride home on the bus these days as much as I used to dread the ride home on the tram.
Hello, I have just emailed that route to the operator to try for the next fixture, let me know if you find it better. We will also adjust the timetable. We got on the 17 at Wardley, was great and making good time but then we stopped outside the Crowne Plaza on Shudehill for about ten / fifteen minutes as he said we were too early for the Victoria pick up. I think you may have just been lucky. We do have support from our traffic signal engineers at the end of the game to help get buses out of the area, but this support doesn’t extend to the entire journey.@matchdaybus
Do the buses use transponders to hold the lights on green? I travelled on MC7 on Sat. night and almost every traffic light we went through was green, and it made me wonder.
Is it not possible to add additional capacity just for post match? I think there will always be much more demand for post match especially for night games as many people prefer to get into the city earlier than the bus and meet friends for a drink, but the bus is by far the most convenient option at 10pm.When we discuss changes with the club, we need to provide data to demonstrate demand. We are aware of the higher post‑match demand, and drivers have previously been instructed to prioritise return tickets and passes. This will be reiterated ahead of the next fixture.
Service performance and usage will be reviewed jointly by MCFC and TfGM at the end of the season. At that point, we will consider options such as introducing new routes or removing stops with minimal inbound usage, which may also help reduce post‑match overcrowding.
Exactly what I do. I've only caught the bus to the match on a couple of occasions, but plenty more times on the way back. Fortunately for me the route I take has already added another bus. But if I got there and it was full with those that had bought return tickets I'd just walk back to town. Said it before it's an excellent service. Can't believe those that moan about the trams don't use it.Is it not possible to add additional capacity just for post match? Hi @matchdaybus - I know I’ve said this already but how can you rely on the pre match usage data when the senior bus passes aren’t always scanned? There are more people who use the return service & if passes aren’t scanned it must give you reason to think there is spare capacity each way. When we discuss changes with the club, we need to provide data to demonstrate demand. It’s just the way the club looks at it as the buses are largely subsidised by them. We can put it to them at the next review but we just manage the buses on behalf of city so we can make recommendations but the final decision is there’s, I will ask though because as you say post match demand is always greater. Is it not possible to add additional capacity just for post match? We can tell from the data when they haven’t been scanned so we would disregard that and use the higher days where it’s clear they’ve been scanned. I know the 8 is a busier service, I’m more referring to some of the others who are massively under pre match.Hi @matchdaybus - I know I’ve said this already but how can you rely on the pre match usage data when the senior bus passes aren’t always scanned? Some matches do have spare capacity but mainly cup games. PL games are normally full
