City buy Hyde Utd?

Hyde United currently play in Conference North, having finished 11th, 8th and 9th respectively in their first three seasons. The team earned a reprieve after the 2008-09 season after King's Lynn F.C. was demoted for failing to meet Conference North standards, and losing an appeal on May 26th.

On 24 September 2009, the Club was officially wound up at the High Court in London, with debts of around £120,000 to HM Revenue and Customs. Over the next few days major fund-raising efforts by the Club officials, supporters and players, which included a bucket collection at a Manchester City Premier League match, sufficient funds were raised for an appeal to be lodged against the High Court decision. The appeal was heard on 30 September 2009, and the original decision was rescinded

I haven´t the slightest idea why we would buy them..unless they somehow fit in with the masterplan

A City XI will play them the 17th of July it says..obviously to support them a bit but unless we intend to create a feeder club for us I see no obvious reasons why we would buy them.

Could be linked with the academy/youth development in some way perhaps, it´s deffo in line with UEFA´s new financial regulations though..if true I mean.

How they hell did they get into £120,000 in debt .... the are a non-league team ... Were they people people or somethind :D
