I recently bought P12 CTY "Premership 12 City"

I want to (if legal) use it on a custom made plate with the City emblem showing on the left.

Does anyone know who does them?

Got mine from http://www.fancyplates.com. They don't advertise the MCFC logo but e-mail or ring them and they will sort it out for you

Cant do it without a fine mate! You can only have the country flags i.e Euro, red cross of St George, Scot St Andrew flag, Welsh dragon etc. I have reg C1ETY and have a crest in the back window in case any one doubts which City I support. I used this guy off E Bay down in Devon http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Manchester-Ci ... 4ab72b982d which cost me about a fiver for the sticker with postage.

All I can say is that I was pulled twice with dodgy spacing but since replacing the plates with legal spacing but keeping the logo, I have not been pulled since and that was the best part of three years ago. Maybe I am just lucky!

You cant officially have flags

This is from the DVLA site mate:

Optionally, number plates may display one of the following national emblems: British Union Flag with “GB”, English Flag (St George Cross) with “ENG”, Scottish Flag (St Andrew Cross) with “SCO”, Welsh Flag (red dragon on green/white field) with “Wales” and “Cymru” or Euro Flag (circle of stars) with “GB”. If the Euro/GB configuration is displayed, then the bearer vehicle need not display a separate “GB” emblem when driving within the EU.

I have S1 TYM, which I space as S1TY M. I've had it for years and only recently was it mentioned by a copper who pulled me over for speeding. He told me to alter it and also let me off the speeding as he didn't have proof....he suggested I was going to fast. I was polite and agreed, apologising, etc.

Whole spacing thing is nonsense! Is it just so it can be read by a computer?!

If they allowed ANY spacing as long as it was the right size letters, they could make considerably more money from the sale of license plates!!

My pride and joy is my car reg C17Y FC not sure what it worth never asked but never sell

had to space it c17 yfc tho after got stopped by supercop then told had to take pics of legal spaced plate or risk dvla taking it back?

If a car with a reg of say C7 TYM spaced it as C7TY M, and was then involved in a RTA say a hit and run......and a witness to it said the car's reg was 'City M', it could be argued by the defence that the car is C7 TYM, not City M, and as such can the witness be 100% sure , it was C7 TYM and not say C1TY M, as all they had percieved in the instant of the incident was the word 'City'?

And such loopholes are avoided by correct spacing, though it can still happen, it's less easy to confuse. Apparently....
