I've not watched the game in the city centre for years. Where are the best spots to sit down and eat whilst watching the game these days? Not that keen on a large "sports bar" type. Last time I watched it there I was at the lass o gowrie.

Tib street tavern in northern quarter but gets very busy
The rising sun off deansgate is decent but not sure about food
same can be said about the turks head at shudehil

Thanks. Northern Quarter seems like the place then.

Went in pie and ale in northern quarter last week to watch Chelsea match after us at home, decent beers and not pricey andn pies look good too,
So giving it a go again this aft,

Second City in Ancoats has a few screens and food is alright (burgers and wings) . Directors Box has a good choice of beers, not sure if they do food.
