If everyone bought the cheapest plaque (£60), that's a windfall of £2.4million. I can't believe there'd be 40000 suckers stupid enough to buy one.

From the same club that printed every season ticket holders' names for free on a banner so they could dress up the spiral...

While quietly ignoring manufacturing and installation costs...
We would barely break even I would guess but then again financial considerations aren't a rag specialty are they otherwise you'd have realised by now that the yanks are raping you and baconface is bending over for them.
Why are rags so obsessed with us? I have never been on their official website or any fan website and have absolutely no interest in what they do (short of Sunderland of course ;) ).
Perhaps this is one of the ones who are thinking of jumping ship now the swamp is sinking?
Seriously, get a life, you're just looking bitter.

Oh dear.

I suggest you do a bit of research befor having a dig at other posters. And if you think Wheelsy sounded raggish then your time here will leave you very confused.

You're possibly right there, think I'll go back to bed now, obviously didn't get enough sleep last night...

Well went ahead and got a voucher for one for the missus for Xmas. However, it all seems a mess at the moment. I have emails for 'E-Voucher purchase confirmation', that gives a general confirmation of purchase along with a ref number, then a 'Voucher confirmation', that gives a totally different ref! and then a 'Gift Voucher' email that gives the same ref as the 'Voucher confirmation' email, but comes with the following in the message body:

'Arsenal are building a new landmark at the Emirates, made up of Granite discs that are set in to the ground around benches dedicated to the club's greatest players and set in front of the Emirates, it's a place where you and your loved ones will be side by side with the legends

Stu has bought you a gift voucher for a disc and you will shortly be able to personalise it with your own message

Click here to redeem this voucher or visit http://www.arsenal.com/citycircle for more information'

ARSENAL? WTF?

Excusing the bad grammar (It's word and comma for word and comma above)...ARSENAL?

It's ridiculously weird as well. I mean firstly the Arsenal link doesn't work, and then why would Arsenal call their's 'City Circle'?

I also can't log in to the area on the original purchase site to view the voucher details and redeem with any of the references given. I'll be giving it a couple of days and then if nothing is sorted I'll be on the phone to someone.

Anyone else bought one? What's your experiences?

still dont get what it will look like and will it complete a full circle aroound the ground?

I was going to get one for my brother in the glass finish for his birthday, then I seen they are only 100mm unless you go for the £395 bronze option which is 120mm.

for me I just think 100mm is a bit too small, there should at least be an option to have a bigger replica.

Also I hope the messages are all monitored because if the rags were to do something similar I would certainly bw buying one and having a nice mcfc tribute disc.

Going off the plans shown then yes, it's a full circle all the way around the ground. They'll be inset so you walk over them.

That said our local council did something similar a couple of years ago with a bronze (could have been brass) plaque inset every few yards to form a path around all the local historical landmarks (it's a small village). It only took a couple of months before some buggers dug them up for the scrap value. Now we've still just got little holes every few yards. I hope they anchor them well.

-- Thu Dec 20, 2012 11:49 am --

Oh, and apologies to Wheelsy for calling him a rag.

Obviously I see now he's a die hard Blue albeit a miserable git ;)

That was a joke... (the miserable bit).

That's you told Wheelsy, you rag bastard.

Fucks sake, I was doing so well! 10000 posts and even a stint modding and I finally get rumbled for being a Rag!

And I would have got away with it too, if it weren't for you pesky ColinLee!
