Yep - the pressure is on Jamie O tonight - no doubt about that!
It's one thing doing a 'sample' menu for a small crowd its another doing it
live for 47,000 hungry Blues ;-)

I'm looking forward to sampling his wares. I really do hope it's as good as it is being cracked up to be
as being able to get some decent, fresh, tasy grub in the stadium on matchday's will be a godsend!
Your wish will come at a cost ;-)

That didn't take you long did it GDM? !!!

We'll see. I genuinely hope so but we'll see. I have this nightmare scenario for Jamie O of him running around the the level 1 concourse of the stadium
with his apron flapping whilst being chased by hoards of hungry, angry Blues because it's all gone Pete Tong for him and there is no food coming out of the kiosks! ;-)

I'll be sampling the new menu tonight, looking forward to see how they serve up good quality mass produced food in a small time frame as from experience it's no easy feat. I imagine City's budget is slightly higher than my own when it comes to catering equipment and the like though so have high hopes.
If its shit then it's back to sausage chips peas and gravy...

Food looks mint but remember its been prepared for a photoshoot by some chef and not for a fan, in a rush by some 17 year old spotty teenager who got hired 5 mins before kick off and probably wont be seen ever again.

Just saying like.....

They've handpicked new staff for all of this and trained them and tried to incentivise them and make them feel part of the whole operation, so they should hopefully be a) quicker, more comprehending and efficient and b) familiar faces every matchday.

Also they did say they were going to be offering samples up at the taster session so you can try tonight and if you don't like you can go off and do your own thing, the stuff was great at the taster session and given a couple of matches to iron out any issues which there are bound to be as this is such a big overhaul and new operation it will hopefully be of a similar quality. People will still moan but they're the sort of people who'd moan about winning the lottery because Spurs will get more than they got just for an athletic welsh ape.

If its quality week in, week out then fair enough.

Time will tell and as you say, if we cant make it happen then nobody can.

Isn't food only ever good if the people who are cooking it are any good?

This is where the idea may fall flat.

I bought a lovely piece of steak at the weekend and my wife ruined it within 15
Minutes.......

they've completely refitted the kitchens out etc. and I assume Jamie will have appointed his own chefs to be working in there producing the food.

I.

I have no doubt Jamie Oliver will have his own Chefs/staff running the back of kitchens where the food is being cooked. If they can keep that going then serving a burger or pie shouldn't be too hard.

Not only that, I'm sure they've done plenty of trial runs over the last few weeks. Probably opening one kiosk and getting the new catering staff to act like hungry and impatient City fans.

Personally I'm looking forward to the beer buggies.

......

Way too long - only needs 4-4.5 minutes each side. Maybe you should buy her one of Jamie's cookbooks!
