City cleared of any wrongdoing in Garre case - no transfer ban expected

Not sure if it's credible, but still:

City, however, are confident that they have done nothing illegal or immoral in their pursuit of the play. It is understood that FIFA have signed off the vast majority of the transfer's paperwork and all that remains is to conclude the deal on the TMS system.
They said City then made an application to Fifa to allow them to register the player on the basis that Garre held an Italian passport and could therefore sign at the age of 16.
Velez, however, are insistent, claiming they will take the transfer beyond FIFA and to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
'We are interested in protecting the child we have been educating since he was 11 and therefore, if necessary, we will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.'

They are clearly upset that we tried to give them some money to compensate them for spotting and training the lad. ( I.e. It wasn't enough). As I understand it we didn't actually have to offer them a penny!

There was another club, an Italian one, that also had a pop at City earlier in the year. Can't find it just now on my mobile but will look later.

In their campaign to avoid a FIFA ban, Real Madrid leaked to Marca that 8 English clubs were under investigation for "Poaching Youth Talent" and that we were one of them.

Would explain the great business we did this summer, think we could take the two year transfer ban no problem only issue could be full back but angelino and maffeo seem highly regarded.
I have thought along the same lines. A transfer ban would be the next thing the cartel could do to stop our progress, after FFP. And we know they are not very interested in having legitimate reasons for going after us. Maybe we have prepared for the worst case.

When will a decision be made on this? Ideally we won't have broken any rules and thus won't incur any sort of ban. However if we do then hopefully we can appeal like Madrid and Barca have done in the past and go on a massive spree in January or summer!

We've had a few instances similar to this now haven't we? Hopefully this will be like the rest and we're ok.

Incidentally, is he any good?
