Ha Ha, I bet they would offer to help him packBet they regret standing outside the granny shaggers house now!
That sounds like a pre-arranged hooligan meet to me.
Is this the Albert in Moss Side?
Have to say, I thought it was the tamest derby I've ever attended at their place and I don't just mean on the pitch either. We were drinking in the Bierkeller beforehand and jumped a taxi with less than 40 minutes to kick off. Because of the traffic on Deansgate we didn't arrive at the away turnstiles until about 10 minutes to kick off. Normally the rent-a-mob are in full cry outside the away end at that point but it wasn't anywhere near as heated as in previous years - maybe the main body of their lot had moved on or the police had finally gotten a grip of matters. The atmosphere inside was the quietest I can ever remember - in both home and away ends. Afterwards, I walked straight back into town, had a scoop in the Tib St Tavern, another in the Piccadilly Tap, and finished it off as we'd started - with a Jaegerbomb - in the station bar before getting the train home.

GMP allow disorder on the streets to gain evidence to prosecute hooligans?Ever cross your mind that GMP allowed it to happen ?
If two set's want to meet somewhere, waste ground, Industrial Estate and have it off away from joe public fair enough.
But as posters have said there were Police outside The Albert before and after the game.
There were people inside who live in the area and have no connection with City.
People having a drink before a meal on Curry Mile.
For GMP to allow a mob of 30/40 to get there unnoticed is beyond comprehension.
City regularly meet there before Swamp derby's and 3 coaches went from there.
Straight into the car park, there and back no bother.
Women and Children on them.
GMP have a record for dispersing City fans whilst allowing the Rags to wander freely.
I would guess that we will see The Albert being told to close on the next Swamp Derby.

Are you genuinely serious now, implying GMP favours Rags over Blues?
I wasn't at The Albert so I can't comment but if you are serious about this get your complaints in at the Independent Police Complaints Comission and let's hold GMP accountable for their actions... as we all know if we step out of line they're the first to let us know.

Certainly sounds like it

We only sang a bit at the start and a bit from about the 70th minute and then at the final whistle. Hardly heard their fans. Quietest derby i can remember. Poor from both sets of fans.from the comfort of my armchair all you could hear was the city fans all game
Sound more like they let it happen in order to help their overtime for the month.
