City Defend Increase In Season Ticket Prices (MEN)

The prices are not the issue. Its the 'fuck off and move' attitude towards ST holders in the North Stand.

Thats how I feel toward the family in front of me, only I wish they'd fuck off TO the family stand

So like you want Champions League football but want to pay the ticket prices of a club in the lower half of the table?

We are probably going to be in the title race next season...

I know a family of 5 season holders in the North Stand, comprising child, mum, dad, grandma and Grandad. They all sit together and part of the enjoyment of going to the match is the shared experience as a family.
They have been to the ticket office today and have been told that mum, dad and child can stay in the North Stand but Grandma and Grandad have to relocate.
How can this be right?
None of these five season tickets will be renewed.
I thought we were tring to increase support not lose it. Madness.
City as ever have shot themselves in the foot again.

-- Thu Apr 22, 2010 1:37 pm --

I know a family of 5 season holders in the North Stand, comprising child, mum, dad, grandma and Grandad. I am sick of trying to say the real reason fans are pissed off now. It is not the increased prices!

The price rise is acceptable.
Moving people and splitting families as described above is a pain in the arse and I can see whypeople would be upset.
Dont think this idea or the way Cook has tried and failed to show the benefits has done the club any favours.
someone said earlier they sit on the 3rd tier CB paying a lot higher price than elsewhere where fans are being given enhanced match day experience.
Which is great for them and welcomed ,what does the guy sitting on the 3rd tier get apart from his price rise?
Enhance the poor catering facilities all over the ground and im sure this could please evryone.
Despite what the club and people like cook ,who is not a football supporter, think it is a bigger upheaval moving and splitting families than they think. But i'm sure Garry will give them the option of upgrading to the corporate area.
Is everyone pleased to see the Prawn sandwich brigade grows at City?
Obviously Mr Cook is but like I said he is not a football supporter.

My lad is 7 he goes and I take him to city to watch city not see Coco the f`in clown,

Magic Mickey, his hanky and his big bendy ballon trick isnt going to keep him going to the match. Good football, good parenting and winning things will

He goes to the cirucus to clowns and football to see football (clowns on the picth included on occasion)

We wil be staying in the east stand

good post mate. There is still some sense around.

When a simple straightforward like-for-like comparison is made between MCFC and other clubs in the EPL, our season tickets are not badly priced at all.

I think those people who are being toe-ended from the NorthStand should have the option of having any increase to what would have been a new NorthStand price and the price they will have to pay wherever they end up PHASED IN over a few seasons, and they should not be financially penalised for having chosen the NorthStand in the first place.

I remember some seasons ago NUFC fans taking the club to court over getting kicked out of seats they had occupied for years. The fans lost, and when the dust settled most of us came to a conclusion that when it's old fans or new plans, the fans get a raw deal.

I can understand the club's position but it's been handled with all the subtlety of an Andy Morrison tackle.

Yep, my sentiments exactly. The double whammy of me and offspring effectively being shunted/priced out of CB2 to accommodate the prawn sandwich brigade has really made this a very disappointing day.
