City eclipsed......Not in my eyes....

Rags beat a shit Spurs side 3-0 at old Trafford. We beat a full strength Spurs team 5-1 at White Hart Lane.
As for 8-2 against Arsenal I don't give a fuck what the media says but Swansea would of beat Arsenal yesterday there squad is poor.
Spot on mate!
They could only score 3 against a shit spuds side at home we put 5 past them away, and any team would have beat Arsenal by loads of goals yesterday as their squad is like a non league team's under 12 squad!

Ok ill break down the united performance from what i saw, the defending for the first goal was beyond appalling i would be ashamed if a team scored that goal against my team on a sunday morning never mind for a premier league game. The penalty was not a brilliant save it was a woeful penalty he may as well have walked up to de gea and said im going to roll it in this corner dive and save it. Rooneys free kicks were decent but the keeping was shambolic he stood in one corner of the goal and basically gave him the whole net to aim at from that distance thats suicidal. Youngs goal was good so credit where its due for that.

The thing that would disturb me most as an arsenal fan from what i saw is the lack of pride that the team showe now we all know that was basically a kids team that they put out but it showed no pride no battle and no heart which was most disturbing, if you go down to a better team so be it, but do it with dignity and at least show some grit and that what was lacking from arsenal yesterday and thats shameful

i couldnt give a fuck what utd do. 1-5 at spurs and the football we played was better than watching porn

what i will say though is even gary neville said "arsenal were shocking, any neutral watching that wouldnt have enjoyed it". it wasnt competative, it was embrassing!

5-1 AWAY from home. ALL goals from open play. Spurs at FULL Strength. A player scores FOUR goals all from open play.

For me is better than 8-2 against a team that was very depleted, oh and didnt the mighty Rags only beat Spurs 3-0 at home, and that was without Modric playing.

As I have been arguing with the 'never been to Trafford' Rags all night, any result away from home eclipses a home one... Afterall Arsenal had a player in midfield who has never played in the prem before but also managed 2 goals and had chances for me... I didn't think the rags defence looked that good at all considering the opposition.

I don`t give a shit what the rag press print about us,gave that up many years ago.....im to busy walking around with a big fook off smile on me
face

5-1, full strength opposition, away, goals from open play, 1 player got 4. We could of went and got another 3 if we wanted to. We just kept passing the ball to eachother taking the piss out of them. Bring on wigan at home.

The best side in the world ever with youngest and greatest collection of players is one goal better off than us, do for me.

The best example of the media slant towards the Rags was on MOTD2 yesterday. Rooney made a long run back for the ball after getting forward and they spoke about his desire and what a great player. Nasri did the same thing for us and Hansen quipped "look what being paid 160,000 does for you. It makes you run faster."

Spot on, thought exactly the same yesterday. This morning watched the sport slot on BBC 24 hours news - they covered moto gp, formula 1, world athletics and football. They dwelled on Uts'd performance with action & interviews, then showed goals from yesterday, all except City.....they didn't even mention the result! Why's that then?.....rhetorical question.

To be fair to some of the twats, they're talking up Arsenal's shiteness more than the rag performance (which was a brilliant performance, by the way, but against an utterly clueless Arsenal XI). And I've heard three different people on Talk Shite saying City's performance was better.

I watched the draw for UCL last Thursday .... they brought bobby charlton out to do the second pot draw ..... the introducer talked about when he won it in 68 and "all the tough times two years earlier" in a veiled reference to Munich which took place TWELVE years previously. Bobby went on to mention Munich FOUR more times in two minutes.

It's over 50 years ago - will they never stop.

And while I'm at it .... Let's hope the FA do treat them like sh1t as their curmudgeonly manager suggested.

Great performance by City at WHL.

back in the 90's we beat Huddersfield 10-1 at Maine Road ...... Our kids were criticised by the press for being naive and disrespectful to the opponents .... there is nothing new in press taking an ignorant swipe at us

Let's hope the players all come back injury free.

Cheers

Thanks for letting us know where you are.

I now re-read your post with a west country accent and it made me smile.

All I know is our away games we have battered the two teams!

The scum went to West Brom and scraped a 1-2 win with two deflected goals...

Home form for both of us will take care of it's self the rags will win 17 or 18 of there home games and I think we'll improve in ours from last year...

the bbc is going to be up fergiescums arse at the minute due to the fact he speaks the bbc again.

To be perfectly honest the Rags beating Arse 8-2 will always get the headlines. Our performance was way, way better as Spurs were at full strength, but headline writers aren't interested. Even Ferguson said it last night himself that Arsenal were so weak he knew the Rags would score. Dixon on MOTD 2 said he expected 6 goals in the game. I don't know if the press will actually say how much Arsenal actually stopped playing....it was embarrassing.

Yeah I had to double take when I heard taggart this morning....We score 5 away from home playing Barcaesque football and all the media can do is concentrate on them. Don't get me wrong, yes it was a good result for the rags, but fuck me,Barnet would have given a better performance.

Long may it continue. Takes any added pressure off us. If the media want to continue their love in with the rags so be it. We can just continue about our business.

Indeed, I was starting to notice how much foaming at the gobs they were doing over our performance and I wanted it to stop, the foaming not the total football! :P

They are raving about City, not the rags. It's all been about how bad the Arse were.

You can't compare United beating an understrength and pityful Arsenal side 8-2 at home , to City beating a full strength Spurs side 5-1 at White Hart Lane ......

Most genuine Utd fans I know were actually quite concerned by their awful defending yesterday. Probably the worst Arsenal team of all time still opened them up for fun so it wasn't quite the great day the media are making out.

City on the otherhand dominated from start to finish passing on the deck playing the right way, United are powerful and direct but as we saw in the champions League final it takes more than that and I think City are more equipped to reach the top level in Europe. United suit the Premier League but football wise it's huff and puff at best.

United and Arsenal did us a favour yesterday. At 3.30pm there was a real danger of people getting carried away by our performance and result. We could easily have woken up with the press annointing us as champions after just 3 games.

Its worked in our favour to be knocked off the back page, more by Arsenal than united. It wont do us any harm to be slightly in united's shadow up to 23rd Oct.
