City Fan Mark Crushes Talksport Attack

Just checked Mike Parry's entry on Wikipedia:

Changes in talksport's schedule for 2009, meant that Parry now presents the 10am-1pm slot with (Mike Graham (journalist)) on Mondays to Fridays. Graham was famously embarrassed on an episode of the show on 14th July 2010, when he was totally outwitted from a Manchester City fan who's phone call unearthed Graham's lack of football knowledge after comically claiming he had, "...never heard of Yaya Toure."

they go on about us not signing "world class" players that they would recognise at the bus stop. When was the last time a truly world class player signed for a Premiership club? when Torres signed for Liverfool he wasn't deemed world class nor Rooney or Ronaldo when they signed for the rags, how many players that don't play in the premier would this guy recognise at the bus stop, Benzema perhaps? don't think so, how about Iniesta? I don't think he would!

Thanks for posting this, although I could have sworn City got 36k season tickets in the first two seasons at Eastlands and it has never dropped below 33k as far as I know, so 1-4k extra season tickets is hardly bandwagon jumping. Easily accounted for by ex-season ticket holders jumping back aboard the train or regular Citycard holders getting a season ticket rather than simply picking and choosing so as to make sure they can get to matches when genuine bandwagoners do arrive. Still, Talksport has never let facts get in the way of slagging off City. It even extends to slagging off City's support which has very few rivals, and only one which can say they've gone as long without a trophy - and even they've had Champions League football more recently than us.

He starts talking about city fans expecting big names and then he starts talking along the lines of, we expect a member of the spain world cup winning squad which we dont have........Silva?

if we went out and spent £150m on Ronaldo, £100m on Kaka, £200m on Messi, £150m on Xavi, £100m on Iniesta and so on they would run a programme based on us buying a bunch of galacticos and not a team. As for the claims about our season ticket sales, its simple envy, the fact that after being asleep for countless years the club has been awakened and the fans that haven't been coming have done the same, they don't like the fact that we are showing our true potential both on and off the pitch!

I just listeded to it & thought mark was the one who got crushed,at least steve when he phoned him dismantled graham & parry and embarrassed them!!
