City Fan Still In Hospital in Germany

The Blog page is <a class="postlink" href="http://carlramsbottomappeal.blogspot.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://carlramsbottomappeal.blogspot.com/</a> and the facebook page is <a class="postlink" href="http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=51830162959&ref=mf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/grou ... 959&ref=mf</a>. There are currently 101 members on the Facebook page which is great considering it was only set up on Wed. It would be nice if more messages were left for Carl though.

The Cabaret Night page is also listed on facebook <a class="postlink" href="http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=51830162959&ref=mf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/grou ... 959&ref=mf</a>

I had posted details of both in a seperate thread earlier in the week which seems to have mysteriously disappeared!!!

Hi everyone,

I am Mick, secretary of Heywood Blues OSC. Our race night is on Friday 20th Feb at The Heywood Pub, Tower Street, Heywood. For any Heywood Blues reading this, we will be in the pub after the Stoke game. We need people to sponsor the races and horses. We are also going to have an auction of football stuff, hopefully things signed. I have emailed the local clubs but all I've got so far is a signed football from Bury FC and a City fan has pledged a City watch. I would like to put out an appeal if anybody might like to donate memorabilia that we can auction off. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Cheers,

Mick.

We held the race night last Friday which was a big success. In the auction we had 3 signed City shirts, two signed balls, a Colin Bell framed photo and a City jacket amongst other things. We raised a total of £1255 for Carl. There should be some pictures in this week's Heywood Advertiser...

Cheers

Mick.

Update ...try next week's Addy...

Once again, a big thanks to everybody.
My brother is still in Krefeld, but should move back to Düsseldorf on Monday. His operation is planned for Wednesday. The plan is he should stay in Düsseldorf for approx 1 week after the operation and then move back to Krefeld for approx 2 weeks, then at last back to UK, (fingers crossed).
I could not have managed with out such fantastic support
Thanks
Rammy

After having been informed about Carl Ramsbottom’s accident, which happened right after the match, ‘Schalke vs. Man City’ on November, 27th, 2008, and feeling responsible for the do, being held for all supporters following the game in Gelsenkirchen, I tried to contact his brother Andy and some days later he came over here, providing me with more detailed information’s about Carl’s incredible situation while still being in rehab hospital. Well, this could have happened to any other football fan too!
Therefore my Schalke branch, <a class="postlink" href="http://www.supportersclub.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.supportersclub.de</a>, and I have started a collection for him and his family in mid January. After involving FC Schalke 04 they have supported our fund-raising campaign on the official website. I got a lot of fantastic feedbacks from other Schalke supporters and especially from our branch’s members!
Now after finishing the collection, a lottery for 2 Derby tickets, FC Schalke 04 vs. BvB Dortmund, and some auctions on Ebay, I’m pleased to let you know that we have collected in Germany 2500,- Euro for Carl. We all hope that he will feel better soon and being able to return to England to see his Blues again!
Last but not least it was fantastic to see how ‘City’ and other supporters stood together without being bothered about supporting different footie clubs. In my opinion this is a great thing and we should give it a try to go on with it! There should be a friendly and human companionship between all supporters with a heart for everyone’s Club, and a fair way to enjoy FOOTBALL all together!
I would like to thank everyone so much for supporting all collections
and for having brought different supporters closer together!

Kind regards
