a bit harsh

It's a bit harsh to nick stuff from people who are trying to make a living.
never pinched anything bully for you ..never bought a copied dvd.or a cheap anything ..is all the same..scum for young lads in a shop ...come on ffs

them lads are quality, never stop cheering for the team ..they will be at 99percent of games this year...so if they have a chaotic moment in a shop ..thats life
Agree mate, the ones I know on that coach go everywhere watching city also booked for the 3 away euro matches. If the shop owner wanted to make a living why didn't he keep his shop open and let the lads have some beer.

I agree Moomba. Some people on this planet still think that there are crimes without a victim. The fella could have been in that shop for a 15hr day and someone has just nicked all the profit he's worked for. It's disgraceful.

Without blowing things out of all proportion you can't defend robbing from shops just because you "shout for City and want some beer."
If you get caught, you get caught.
If you harrass the owner of the place who's trying to make a living, you and manage to get yourself arrested because you can't control yourself then you're a bit of a knob-City fan or not.

If the owner doesn't want to sell you beer for whatever reason,it's their right.End of story.

Doesn't give you license to do anything.
You can't really defend it.

Pmsl they made a getaway on their bus which was stuck in a traffic jam?

Sounds like a bit of media bullshit to me

Think there's a bit of a generation gap on this one, it seems.
The teens and young 20-somethings think they should be allowed to rob innocent bystanders just because they are 'hardcore City' and 'sing for 90 minutes'.
The older crowd seem to think all football fans should be angels or else put in the stocks, flogged and banned for life.
Both are wrong. Shit happens, but it does'nt make it right. Pass the popcorn, this could be a 30-pager

And if someone had a "chaotic moment" and burgled your place... ?

I think its disgraceful that you can get away with stuff like this in the UK. Really not the way to behave. If this was in Dubai I can assure you the penalty would a lot more severe than what they got. It certainly wouldnt be a "fixed penalty notice"!

I dont see how being a man city supporter should make it OK to steal from a shop!! We can cheer and shout all we want but that doesnt mean we can forget about general law and order! My uncle works in a shop and owns it too. I can imagine he'd be quite upset by such an incident. Joke or no joke.

I will also be at 99% of the games this year home and away but I will not be robbing anyone. When you have had things that you have worked hard for vandalised, your house burgled and your car broken into I am sure that you wouldn't be quite so quick at defending someone who is robbing a shopkeeper who is just trying to make a living.

And to justify it by saying that you are singing at the match and attending 99% of the games is absolutely disgraceful.

Yes I have seen fighting with other fans, that is a different kettle of fish, totally different. I despair!

I go to a football match to support Manchester City and have a good time.
