I wonder if the early leavers are early leavers in other walks of life too. Arsenal have a lot too.
Interesting point Spidermoggy, people might come on here and clear off before they've even finished th

Queuing AND traffic
Do you think I want to stand in queue of 70 people at HT when I could go 6 minutes earlier and walk straight to the front?
If i’m not having a drink why would I want to queue to get down a set of stairs to sit in traffic and get home late when I can leave 5 mins early and be in my house 30-45 mins before if I stayed for the final whistle.
I leave away games early to beat the rush for the car/train
It’s really not a big deal
I do prefer everyone else staying in though makes me leaving early all the much easier
Pathetic (if serious)The club should put a sensor on the gate. Anyone leaving earlier than 5 mins before the game finishes gets deducted loyalty points. If its from supporters club allocation, they get less tickets next time
People arriving late and those moving to and from the bars 15 minutes either side of half time are a bigger pain in the arse than anyone drifting home early when the score is 6-1.
I leave on 86 minutes every game and drive like a lunatic to get back to Lincolnshire for 7.30pm as other commitments call. If I don't leave when I do my travel time increases exponentially. I don't centre my day around beer and can guarantee that the 86 minutes I sit clapping and cheering our team is probably 15 minutes more than half of those who stay until the end but spend most of the game drinking beer or smoking in the bogs, but somehow assume this match routine makes them better fans.
To be honest I think the further you have to go the less likely you are to leave early, if it takes 4 1/2 hours to get home instead of 4 it's no big deal. When I go it seems to be the regulars who I presume live locally that leave early makes it worse because they have to do all their goodbyes as they leave.Got to say I can understand it more when we are 5-1 up if you have somewhere to get to than 1-1 for example. Don’t do it myself and I have 240 miles to go. But each to their own
Fair point and probably right. But nothing more depressing than not getting to Preston until 2 hours after the game finished and still having best part of 3 hours to go!To be honest I think the further you have to go the less likely you are to leave early, if it takes 4 1/2 hours to get home instead of 4 it's no big deal.
