City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

Think teacher would call bullshit on everyone needing to go to the toilet at the same time.

Probably, although the poster said anyone getting up is being disrespectful so that just isn't early leavers. That is any point throughout the game apparently.

I live in Middlesbrough so don't get to the ground too often but did go to the Southampton game on Sunday. I left on the 90 min mark, purely because leaving 3 or so minutes early can be the difference between my drive home taking 2.5 hours and it taking almost 4.

The travel infrastructure around the ground is just not great. It's a very difficult ground to get away from because of the traffic. Even getting out of the car park was a ridiculous experience because people just disregard paths and decide to walk on the road.
On Sunday it took an hour to basically get from the car park opposite Mary D's to the Eastland's Asda.

Yeah that's a bit too far, you can't blame people for wanting the support to be exemplary though in my opinion, it's a good ideal to have even if it's not quite realistic(ie no need for the abuse some people get for stating an opinion on it).

I'm finding myself more and more on the fence about it though(no shows and early leavers both), yes there's a bit too much assumption, finger pointing and telling match goers what to do but on the other side I do think asking people to ignore the constant digs and ridicule "and just laugh at them" is not realistic either(and people have equally no right to ask people to do that), people are very protective of their clubs and if something bothers you ignoring it is simply denial which isn't really a solution(not healthy either).

There is no solution, if someone wants to go early that is that. They can, we aren't prisoners.

That's not what I mean, people get really worked up over anyone who mentions it as something that bothers them... trying to force people to ignore it and "shut up" to suit them is hypocrisy if they are saying people have their own rights having paid their money. I don't get how they can't see that, it's their club too.

People can have their views but many are telling people what they should do. Like someone even calling it disrespectful. The people leaving aren't telling people they should leave too though that's the difference. Each to their own.

Exactly telling someone they should shut up, ignore it or stop talking about it altogether is exactly that, it's actually worse in a way.

Someone saying they believe something is disrespectful is an opinion, it's not necessarily telling someone what to do(it could be they are simply saying they don't agree with it) and it's totally fine for them to express it in that way as it's their right as a fan.

Who is it telling people to shut up if it's not the early leavers and no shows? Because someone is.

If they aren't really involved in the discussion then nobody is telling them what to do. It would then be people defending others rights to do what they want acting high and mighty, while trying to tell others what to do. It's a viscous cycle of hypocrisy with no end. Which is why I'm on fence but the hypocrisy does need pointing out when one side thinks it's without fault.

Not me, they can discuss it. I just find it pointless because it wont change. If they say someone getting up in the game is disrespectful or they don't agree with it then I hope they never need a piss during the match, the disrespectful bastards!

I have left early myself, you find the people who openly have a go at the people leaving are complete hypocrites. They want these people to stay and support the team (whilst sitting in silence) when they then prefer to be distracted by people leaving and moaning at them instead of carrying on with their "support" At old Trafford in the last cup game I went to go toilet after about 70 minutes, bursting for a piss. Some bell end pulls my hood back and says where do I think I'm going and I best not be leaving early.

Either way people can do what they want, if you leave you have done nothing wrong if you stay you have done nothing wrong. Don't tell me to stay and I wont tell you to shut up. (not you personally)

Well I don't agree with anyone forcing their opinions in that way, out of order that. Discussion, persuasion and so on should be the way to go about it.

I'd personally love to be able to legitimately shoot down all these journos who try and stick the boot in every other game. Then stick it to the dippers and rags about the whole match going support thing too because they aren't perfect(Anfield is so overrated) and we could feasibly top everything they have on that front(bar uniteds capacity).

That's not realistic though and out of everyone's control but I wont defend poor turnouts and poor atmospheres when they do occur either, spending too much time on either pursuit is an equal waste of time in my book.
