If we take a look at Russias foreign reserves we might notice that it´s shrinking yes, so obviously they are hurting but they still got $420bn stashed away mostly in gold and euros which might very well tide them over a considerable time.

9 months worth left by best estimates.

And then what?

Tell that the currency markets mate.

They are on the cusp of financial Armageddon if not already in it.

And that is very worrying!

Not sure if Mr A. (Chelsea owner) still receives money from his manipulation of licences to extract oil in USSR but his close friendship with Mr Putin at one stage made him the only Russian oligarch to stay out of prison.
I wonder how his fortune will be affected?

Regardless of the reserves, the government are struggling to control the economy. Hence the 6.5 percentage point increase in the rate of interest.

OPEC's move is about the U.S. not Russia and it is because the U.S. is a couple of years of energy independence which countries like Saudi are terrified about, their concern is if the ,U.S. doesn't need their oil will they still play as hard in the area ,

At less than 80 bucks a lot of US producers go into loss especially in n dakota, a lot of that shale oil extraction is funded on debt most of which needs renewing in 15 and 16 - if they are losing money refinancing is hard and a credit crunch could occur - OPEC is pushing this to get US commitments post energy independence - it is a very very high stakes poker - Russia is cholateral damage and this is not a bad thing for the U.S. or Europe.
