Any thread with an ampersand in its title should be closed as a matter of course.

That's a softening of your usual position, where any thread with a title that isn't a Latin or Greek iambic pentameter should be closed.

i had hoped this thread would stay open until the date of City announcing their first profitable year under FFP... then we can all bathe in the collective tears of MCFC's many vociferous detractors as this thread will have come full circle.

as well, this thread serves a convenient purpose as a catch-all for me to read the latest on our finances .

I wasn't quite serious about closing it but when we're talking about investing profits in a Bundesliga club then I did wonder. But that's not a bad idea so I might think about starting a new one and moving some of this stuff.

As far as FFP is concerned (allowing for all the exceptions including the €20 million "fine")) are we not in profit this year?

This thread has historical value.

I await the day that we are FFP free and can starting giving it to the likes of the Rags and Mickeys. It has to stay forevermore...

Still a relevant thread, I'm sure there'll be amendments to FFPR, plus we have the court case to still discuss.

"City Finances & FFPR" would be an apt name, kind of like the redevelopment thread that encompasses the whole lot, rather than just the stadium or the training complex.
