How do you know we haven't?

Something like that won't be on the back page of a paper. It will be protected by all kinds of non disclosure agreements.

It's more than probable that we won't hear a single word of our legal intentions.

I'm not sure this kind of thing could be so easily hidden with all the FFP experts chomping at the bit in anticipation of our expected sanctions/punishments.

We don't want FFP scrapped though do we, because (a) it puts downward pressure on wages and transfers, which unless you like pissing money down the drain for good reason, is a good thing. And (b) it shuts the door behind us with respect to any future competitors who may come along.

What we do want is our efforts to play by the rules to be recognised and accommodated with reasonable, sensible and appropriate sanctions or warnings. That is all.

We won't achieve either without legal action because they seem hell bent on having their pound of flesh ! If they fine us £60m how will we balance our books for the next financial year ? How will we ever get in the black with these stupid rules ? They are never going to let us get come up for air if we do nothing !

UEFA clearly looking forward to boosting their coffers. I'd be interested to see where that fine goes. To be honest with the increase in revenue because of the new television deals this shouldn't be a problem. It is a considerable fine though, I reckon they wanted to kick us out but this was the only 'legal' option.
