City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Re: City & FFP (continued)

What happens if Liverpool don't qualify for champs league next season regarding FFP do they have there books looked at again?

Re: City & FFP (continued)

The key for me is what happens next time around.

The monitoring periods will then be

2011/2 Published loss £99m
2012/13 Published loss £51m
2013/14 Expecting to break-even

We are allowed a deficit of around £35m.

That 201/12 season does not drop out of the calculation...they just include the current season

But as we know it's not the headline losses that count as there are exclusions. It sounds like we have ended up with a much bigger deficit than we expected because we have been unable to deduct the £100m pre 2010 contracts. So can we pass next time around, and if not, what are the likely sanctions based on what is being proposed now?

In 2 years time, there would be no problem - but can we get through the next 12 months?

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Are we still speculating on the speculation; nothing wrong with that just checking if any concrete has come to light over the last umpteen pages, such as a pair of boots in a suitable European size?

Not sure but haven't they been running at a loss for the last few seasons.so to even compete in the cl they need to invest on a few more players

surely Liverpool need to be tested for playing next season? So do they get a free pass in without fulfilling the break been criteria. Sorry for sounding naive or if this has been mentioned already.

The only concrete I'm interested in is the concrete bridge support platini hopefully ends up in..

Whistles and looks up cheekily :)

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Surprised how many other clubs fans are sticking up for us. Just goes to show how obviously corrupt uefa is, just like fifa. Still can't believe they can fine us 50 million the cheeky bastards, that's if it is of course true. What I don't like is this being released to the media so all the clueless fans around the country will now be piping up how we're ruining football, Arabs toy etc. If it is true then uefa are more classless than I thought, should never release stuff like this until an agreement is met.

I love the go to war mentality let's go and fight regardless of the consequences, regardless of what the end result is. It's so George Dubya and to be fair it's what most people thought in 1914.

You don't fight footballs governing body, all the other clubs, the media etc without everybody losing in the end including us.

UEFA can fight dirty and cause so much damage that wen if we win in the end we will have lost.

Honestly would you today accept the break up of this team, years of chronic publicity (20x worse than today) to end up winning a fine that won't go to city and potentially breaking apart a game and turning football into a European form of gridiron with 20 super teams and no promotion relegation etc

People need to think about the consequences to us and football of going to war with the game and going to war with football as they could be far wider and worse than imagined.

In 1914 people wanted war, a tidy quick victory and 100m people died . A footballing war could have war wider consequences that kill much of what people love in the game and that may be more unpallatable than an immaterial fine and a but if harm to our champs league prospects for one season

What a huge pile of steaming horse shit. Football worked before FFP, wipe your clunge and pull your knickers up.

Just asking because they have a free pass with FFP this season because they weren't in Europe last season so if your in one out the the next season it's seems a bit of a farce
