Take your point, but it's hardly a press release.
I'm sure the Gossip page on the OS also mentions links to possible transfer targets, but only when quoting stories in the papers, so I wouldnt read anything into it.
good grief the OS have just admitted we've failed to meet the regulations - I hope this is just another PR cock-up

You seem almost desperate not for us to pass?

Apologies, as I'm sure not that's not the case, but there is an excitability about every post you make in this thread over anything which has a negative slant towards City.

The OS also carried an overview last week that we were signing Lionel Messi for £150m and Sergio Aguero was moving to Real Madrid...

I would assume you know why:

That thread's so old, even Pige has posted on it.

Just reported that the UEFA official in charge of deciding Man City's FFP fate, Jean-Luc Dehaene, dies following a fall in France.

and (for none Daily Fail readers)

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/news/10834843/Jean-Luc-Dehaene-Uefa-official-charged-with-deciding-Manchester-Citys-FFP-fate-dies.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... -dies.html</a>

It shouldn't but I wonder if this impacts on the urgency or type of decision made against us.

I would jokingly cry conspiracy, but given the recency of his passing it would be unkind.
I wonder why they had the KFA office junior Rumsby write it?

He did not die from a fall.

"Belgian newspaper De Standaard reported that Dehaene was visiting a cookie factory in Briec on Thursday when he suddenly became unwell. "He was worn-out and became unwell shortly after the start of his visit," Marc Berger, the owner of the factory, told the newspaper. An ambulance was called but Dehaene was dead upon arrival at the hospital."

Re: City & FFP (continued)

If anything this probably only serves to lengthen the process meaning it'll give us less time to act against the sanctions.

so, what is our punishment. I might have missed it
They're taking away our ladders.
what are ladders?

I'm not accountant and neither am I an expert on FFP but as best I can follow this thread, Jean Luc Duwhatsit died after a fall from of a ladder that he bought in his local market. UEFA have looked into it and noticed that there's a City Store in Market Street. This constitutes a related party transaction and because he fell like a sack of spuds and Platini couldn't get change for a €500 note at your man's What A Potato Stall the other year, it has been deemed as overvalued.
Therefore, we've been fined £50m but we can claim it all back if we take out an ad on local radio that's broadcast before 20.10.
I think.
Oh, and all our players have to wear caps.

Well a £50m fine plus a hobbled squad wouldn't sit happily on Soriano's cv would it? (almost as unhappy as his Spanair interlude)

Re: City & FFP (continued)

I'm wondering whether the timing, and the media lynch mob, surrounding the Scudamore "sexist comments" debate has anything to do with FFP? Scudamore has been fairly vocal in his position that the UEFA definition of FFP isn't something he wants introducing to the Premier League. Suddenly, as FFP comes to the fore, and is in the public eye, emails Scudamore sent through his private email, some time ago, are "leaked" and the media start calling his position untenable. I for one wouldn't be surprised if United, Chelsea, Liverpool et al managed to manipulate the situation so that Scudamore was forced to resign and someone ardently in favour of UEFA's FFP being applied to the Premier League wasn't suddenly proposed as the new head of the Premier League.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

please lets all keep the thread on topic.
it's bad enough wading through 100's of pages, merged topics etc to try and find real news.
all this death shit, puns etc is pointless & distracting.
i hate to sound like a moaning, boring fart, but it would be nice to find real information on bluemoon in a thread that was meant to be informative, all the other shit should be posted elsewhere (IMO)

as FFPR are so important to ALL us supporters, it would be helpful to see the thread kept as close to real, relevant news as possible.

just a plea...thats all.

Nothing would surprise me about those clubs.
