Just landed on Twitter

Galatasaray + Russian clubs Zenit St Petersburg + Anzhi understood to have failed FFP rules as well as MCFC + PSG. UEFA may confirm tonight.

From a guy called Martyn Ziegler, says he is Chief Sports Reporter for the Press Association, looking at his tweets he is a United Fan, take that as you will

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Lots of chatter on Twitter about significant news on FFP tonight from UEFA.

Also some suggestions that it is far from a happy move forwards and there will be serious legal challenges.

Maybe some of you lads need a time out, so you'll stay on topic.
Repeating the same puns is really bad punning etiquette.

This thread's all over the place, must have missed those.

I'll go and sit in the corner and think about what I've done

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Hopefully we might be close to the first, actual piece of information to come from UEFA or City.

I bet it won't be anywhere near as bad as has been suggested.

I'll miss the puns though.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

This just popped up, possibly the latest PA announcement:

It is understood that UEFA is close to agreeing settlement offers for sanctions with all nine clubs - City have proved the most difficult to secure an agreement - and an announcement on all sanctions could come later on Friday.

-

PSG were made a similar settlement offer but City have been insistent that their rule breaches should not be treated as being of a similar level to the French champions.

City have been pushing hard to have sanctions reduced and wanted their case looked at again by another body as well as the CFCB, and indications are that the club have managed to secure that guarantee.

All the clubs do have the possibility of a final appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

I will wait and see, it's a funny time to release this kind of information and it's Friday as well

Would that be someone of city's choice, who can look at the case?

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Just to be a bit serious but does Gazprom have a controlling stake in Zenit? Surely they are not going to punish one of Uefa's main sponsors?
