City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Whilst we’re on about Barcelona and FFP, they think they can get x a season(below) for the Nou Camp naming rights.

Barceloan also want to borrow €1.5bill Euros to redevelop the Nou Camp and surrounding area.

Naming rights

The club hope that selling the naming rights to the stadium will also help pay for the project sooner. Reverter believes that overall the new Espai Barca will provide at least 200 million euros of additional revenue every year, possibly even double that depending on the naming rights.

€400 mill a season for the Nou Camp naming rights. Good one!
Hardly selling at the top of the market

The BBC are reporting that UEFA have sanctioned eight clubs for FFP breaches, all for "non-compliance with the 'no overdue payables' requirement". Barcelona are not among these eight clubs. Am I right in thinking that they did not pay players wages on time for much of last season? Or are they not overdue payables?
The players agreed to it I am sure and if they did, there is no issue.

And dodgy Juve probably declared only a percentage of the cash they did get.
There is not a company in the world that does not declare only what they have to, creative and keeping just inside the laws of the land and with the state of the dodgy and utterly corrupt governments that make the rules, I don't blame them one iota.

Apparently Umtiti still hasn't agreed and Barcelona are trying to offload him (to us!) as a result.
I guess as long as they've paid the outstanding amounts by the end of the accounting period they'll be ok
'Overdue payables' refers to not to the accounting period but to the date on which the payment should be made. Bolton were in hot water because they failed to meet payment dates for wages - players were not to be kept waiting for months. Instalments on transfers are to be paid by the repayment dates stipulated in the deal not by the end of the accounting period.

I don’t know about others, but I can never sit fully easy whilst this PL investigation is ongoing. I have no doubt if we’re charged with anything we’ll be victorious again, it’s just all the shite we have to go through getting there.

It's all about creating disquiet and uncertainty about the club. Anything to unsettle us in a vain attempt to return the EPL back to it's old status quo.

I couldn’t care less, my faith in Khaldoon and the team is immense. Let whatever the bitter wankers who follow red teams say about us, we’ll keep winning on and off the pitch.

I sit easy in the understanding that the investigation was just a piggy-back of the shit show that UEFA put forward.

If that was so, they would be pumping money in rather than looking at how much money they can rob from the game. At least the old status quo was about winning trophies and not about finishing in a top four spot so the CL money would continue rolling in. If I was a Leeds supporter, I would be sick at the thought of my club being a minor cog in some gridiron franchise.

Can someone explain to me what's going on with this PL case against us?
As far as I am aware the PL opened an investigation based on the alleged "evidence" of a couple of emails from Der Spiegel as part of UEFAs case which when examined with context and other evidence and testimony in the courts at CAS turned out to be nothing more than a fart in the wind from 2010. The courts findings were there was no evidence, no smoking gun, that is NOTHING substantiating any of the allegations. Yes we were fined for none co-operation after Panja and his buddies started printing sensitive case material which most likely came from Parry.
How is this PL investigation still in the High Court?
Do the PL intend on having all the evidence heard again. (About matters from 2010 - 2013), really?
If so surely the same outcome is likely in which case we should hammer them for costs and Sue for reputational damages. What was the outcome of the hearing that Harris insisted on being present at?
As far as I can gather things are still in obeyance unless the court has requested something from either party with a lengthy time limit. Anyone know?
