Did anyone see Wenger's comments about us. Apparently he wants us banned from Europe. I'm starting to agree with all of Mourinho's statements on Wenger

Wenger is unwittingly doing us a favour here.
He's basically letting us know that if we agree a settlement then Arsenal will appeal it with a view to getting us banned.
We're actually in a good place here. The G14 have kept raising the stakes to the point where we have no alternative but
to fight. UEFA also know this. Who will win? ... well Wenger is an expert in failure ...

I wouldn't read too much into it. It looked like he may have been smoking something before doing that interview.

Still, the position is we've accepted the premise and will consider a limitation on application a victory? The problem a lot of people have is that they actually believe they can negotiate and talk their way out of anything. You must be able to determine those narrow cases where there is nothing to talk about. Have City have received legal and financial advice to work within FFP proceeding from parties that stand to make a lot of money ensuring compliance with FFP?

What is the procedure and proper subject-matter for injunctions? In the EU must there be an actual case-in-controversy before availing oneself of the civil courts? The issue must be ripe before filing suit. I'm assuming appellate courts do not issue advisory opinions?

Pure fucking Klingon that

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Without reading over 200 pages, please can someone just explain what, if anything has actually happened since UEFA issued us with the fine and squad reduction? So, has anything actually happened or not?

Re: City & FFP (continued)

What if we just sign say, Messi, Reus and Fabregas. It's gonna cost a whole lot of money that for sure won't pass the FFP. But then, will UEFA have the guts to exclude us from the european competitions, knowing they're gonna lose out on the money that europe's top players will draw? I'd say no, but then again this is just wishful thinking. I'm gonna wake up now.

The TV companies and sponsors are very quiet over this it seems..maybe they are waitng to pounce on twatshisface..

Re: City & FFP (continued)

the way I see it.

UEFA made the rules they dont need to wait out for an agreement they could just say deadline reached you havent made an offer we agree with, off it goes to the next step!

They havent because they cant as they know they dont really have a case!

I think that our potential transfer targets will want assurances that they will be playing in the CL next season.

On a slightly related note, I want to know is what UEFA will do if the Russians go into Ukraine, as it is looking more likely as each day passes. I foresee UEFA Gazprom sponsorship disappearing and US sanctions against Abramovich (who is very much in Putin's inner circle).
