City fined £35,000 for anti-doping admin error

GNeville has ranted on twitter comparing City's fine with Ferdinand.

What an arse, and an ignorant one at that.
There is no comparison as Ferdinand knew beforehand of his tests, but 'forgot' about them and that is why he was banned. As a pro, it is inconceivable that such an important appointment should ever be forgotten. In our own case, this was the fault of some admin official who did not do the paperwork, or did it shoddily, and that is why no players were named or banned.

Quite, although you missed out Ferdinand lying about it as well.

How come now that Bournemouth have been charged with the same thing has it been barely mentioned in the media?

recruiting a new compliance officer who will be in charge of the whole "whereabouts" and anti-doping side of things, this cock up clearly had repercussions internally then, nice to see.

3 offences in a 12 month period gets a charge. I'm told their isn't a single club in the PL that hasn't had one such offence and nearly half have have had two.
