City Football Group | Secure $650m loan facility for infrastructure projects (p 54)

Hard to imagine what a nightmare it must be working with all different commissions to build a stadium in a place like NYC.
It must, probably the hardest place on earth to do so.

Also having to deal with some serious egos and serious political issues.

Manchester City owner raises $650m in one of football’s biggest deals

According to the Financial Times, City’s parent company (CFG) has raised $650m in one of football’s biggest ever debt deals as it steps up investment in its international network of football clubs.

Separately, CFG has also organised a revolving credit facility worth £100m with the same finance providers, though it is understood it has no immediate intention to draw down on the facility.

The new debt deal ties the group closely to western financial institutions.

Due to the pandemic which has impacted similarly on all clubs, Manchester City’s revenue fell to £478m in the 2019-2020 season, down from £535m the year before. A net loss resulted of £126m from a net profit of £10m.
Oh shit , cant say we are not in debt now

Not accurate Bayern amount 47m for Sane sale plus about 10m in other outstanding transfer fees not shown UEFA money for 20019/20 still owed at the time these accounts were released. So the debt was about half this, not to bad considering the effect of no fans for 18 months. Also winnings totalling 270m for last season, season ticket sales, shirt sales etc. Don't think we're too bad off !

can we still sing "we're going down with a billion in the bank" or are we skint now
Course we can. It’s CFG not MCFC that have the debt. Just hoping CFG are going to give MCFC a huge chunk of that “debt” just like the powers that be in Spain do for RM & BarcaLOANa
