£10m? :O

Have never heard of him but can't see us paying that much for a 16yo. Any scouting reports (Ricster?)?

Man City keen to sign French starlet
Jun 26 2011 by Alan Nixon, The People

Manchester City are in talks with Caen about signing the French club’s rising young star M’Baye Niang in a deal worth up to £10million. The powerful 16-year-old striker only made his debut in April and scored three goals in seven games.

City have been on the youngster’s trail from the start and want to agree a deal before the price goes up and other giants get their wallets out.

I don't know much about the lad, but I love the fact that we are trying to snatch up all the top young talent. This is how I see us dominating for years to come. Rather than spend like crazy in the windows, snag one or two major stars, and then just bring in the top youth from around the globe and let them develop in our academy for a couple years and then turn into our own home-grown stars.

A lot like Balo on the ball. A bit of flair and a lot of finishing. He has the chance to be a superstar but what will hold him back in the Prem is his rather lanky but skinny frame. There's always time to put on weight though. A great buy IMO.

Bloody hell, what a beast! 3 goals at senior level in 7 games for Caen, aged 16. Definitely has a Lukaku vibe to him.

The £10m price may only be the fee should he break into the first team and achieve a certain amount of appearances, in which case it will be a great deal for us. Maybe we are paying around £5m up front.

didnt Chelski pay 10 million for Sturidge after a tribunal, so maybe we are just cutting out the middle man if we are genuine about getting the boy.
