City interested in CB Lucas Hernandez?

Looking at how things have been going perhaps pep wants a lot of youth, simply so he can have a very impressionable team.

A young talented center back that can also play LB is a perfect fit. I do not know much about him, but if he is good on the ball and athletic I think he could be exactly what Pep is looking for.

“One day in the Camp Nou, towards the end of 2010, Pep instructed two of his youth players – Gerard Deulofeu and Rafa Alcántara, Thiago’s brother – to join the senior players’ training session for the first time. He told me all about it: ‘I loved working with them. It’s much easier to train youngsters than it is older players. Much easier. You feel like you’re really coaching. With older guys you have to watch and review what you say, how you say it, you have to take into account the result of your last match. You stand there watching the expressions on their faces and making sure you’re using exactly the right words. With the kids, you just take them by the scruff of the neck and bring all the talent out, just like squeezing an orange. I get so much more out of it – and it’s a lot more fun.”

Exactly my point!

Seen him a few times for Atleti and looks a player..Versatile & Very mature for his age and good on the ball and will only get better under Pep if we're truly in for him..Relatively low release clause also.

Isn't Peres a right back?

Hi mate.....yes, I think your right.... the clips I've seen of him Peres has played right back for his current club but we dont know how Pep wants to use him, if signed....either way, if our interest is serious, its nice to have a player that is solid at both CB and LB with the problems we've had at these positions over the past few seasons....dont know much about Hernandez tho but he's only 6ft tall so maybe better suited for the full back position...
