City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Surely the PL will have spoken to all 20 clubs and confirmed which way they will be voting. FFS even Masters cannot be that incompetent to hold the vote with the outcome in doubt??
Would be a futile exercise. There will be a discussion before the vote, some clubs maybe undecided which way to vote until they hear what others have to say and others may change their minds after.
Board votes rarely go exactly as expected.

I just wonder if the PL have argued that the loan to Etisalat by Mansour makes that sponsorship a related transaction.

There was never a loan from/to Etisalat was there? Just a prepayment by ADUG of a contracted Etisalat > ADUG > City commitment.

The only problem I can see with the Etisalat transactions (at least those presented at CAS - it may be that other years have other issues) is that the payment from ADUG to City should have been set up as current payable to ADUG and only used to reduce the receivable from Etisalat when it was confirmed that Etisalat had paid ADUG.

But it's all nonsense really.

Why not? The original vote only passed by the narrowest of margins because two clubs abstained.
You're right though, they shouldn't be putting forward rule changes that the majority of clubs aren't happy with
I was meaning that it would surely be standard for the CEO of a 20 body organisation to ensure that, before bringing a key issue to the board for a vote, they have checked with each stakeholder and confirmed that the vote will be secure the outcome he/she wants.

Just standard stuff - otherwise incompetently shooting themselves in the foot

Not my experience

Good management means that you ensure that you have 'all your ducks lined up' before the vote

Perhaps just the sectors that I have worked in

They only care about 4 clubs. The rest are small Inconsequential clubs who are deemed collateral damage.

It’s very clear why the league is taking certain decisions and it’s not because they are a bunch of useless cunts.

Destruction to create a super league is always a nice money option for greedy yanks.
