Basic question ( which might have already been answered in the last 488 pages!) is this a court case or a PL arbitration panel? If the latter, how can we sue the PL for loss of earnings? Surely that has to go through the courts.

It's an independent arbitration panel. We're not suing them, that was just the papers going OTT as usual. There will, however, be another claim for compensation if we win.

It's not a law firm with partners, it's a chambers where barristers work independently of each other. I'm sure someone else can explain it more clearly if needed.

I read his autobiography on holiday last year (someone lent it to me). It was an interesting read and he doesn’t hold back about certain people at times. But 2 things stand out pretty clearly:

1) he is a total narcissistic **** - who knew?

2) he often refers to decisions (especially around managerial appointments) he made that were bad decisions that he knew at the time were bad decisions but made them anyway. Either he is a complete liar who can’t admit to just being wrong, or is he is a complete moron. Either way, not a great look.

You could simplify to "he's moronic narcissistic bullshitting hypocritical ****". No need for an 'or' statement
