City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Looking forward to this verdict now. Any re-writing of any rules and the PL will have been dicked again. First by the clubs voting against the closing of Chelsea's hotel "loophole", second now by Leicester and soon to be, hopefully, by us. Just how much embarrassment can one organisation take?

"We found ourselves in a situation where we had make an important profit to avoid being in breach with the PSR (profit and sustainability rules),' said Damian Vidagany, Villa's director of football operations. 'It was very challenging.

'Everybody was cheering and celebrating the Champions League, but Monchi (Villa's transfer chief) and I were at the party thinking how we could avoid a points deduction that would have spoiled a wonderful season. There was a bomb with the countdown, and we were there to cut the cable. We arrived at the last second with this problem.

Quite fucking right. Who do they think they are, trying to break into the top four? The bastards.

It's laughable that so many comments elsewhere are along the lines of "Leicester got off on a technicality". No, they were cleared because the PL hierarchy are so incompetent that they were unable to draft PSR rules that were clear and unambiguous.

It's little wonder that City challenged the legality of the amended APT rules, they were probably drafted by the same bunch of fuckwits.

Yet rags did a 75million deal to avoid PSR after failing UEFA ffp, still millions in debt, still buying shit players on huge contracts at the same time as laying of 250 staff. All this is OK as its the rags.

It fucking stinks

The problem is mate, this is exactly why he was chosen. I don’t mean employed I literally mean chosen!

He is there to protect certain assets only, he doesn’t care about fair play, the sport or literally anything else

I assume he will have to be the fall guy for when we are cleared. With the real puppeteers moving on to the next stooge
I don’t think there will be another stooge. It’s actually inconceivable. The sands have shifted too much and it’s one of the reasons we’ve dug our heels in.

Their excuse was their summer tour being cancelled in 2021 and Team Viewer being unable to fulfil its sponsorship commitments. This didn’t stop the rags spending over £200 million in the summer of 2022 on the likes of Martinez, Anthony and Casemiro.

Their Team Viewer sponsorship was way above what the company could afford and was a high percentage of the companies’ actual value. Who signed this off at the Premier League as being a correct value considering they are like a dog with a bone with City’s sponsorship?

If the rags knew these losses were coming up against no champions league football that season. Why did they keep spending in the transfer market?

You just raise more elephants lol. That car deal where the bloke was sacked and Team Viewer both paid way to much. What action did the pl take ?

Pl can't view rags sponsors as fair value as Team Viewer went bust.

Also, weren’t the PL rules very quietly amended in about 2022 to allow united to get their contract renewal uplifts through, as without them being changed united would breach certain percentage amount rules.

The sheer volume of ‘tweaks’ to PL rules over the years to benefit united, or hinder others is so corrupt
