City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Just got around to watching this

Must admit, the look on Stefans face throughout most of it, looks like someone who doesn't sit in a room with such stupidity very often

Did very well not to embarrass the presenters and clearly tries his best to meet them at their level in terms of intellect

Would love the 'solicitor' to have called in, as I think Stefan was ready to take him to school!

Fantastic article by Martin Samuel in the Times.
He gets it.

The sky won’t fall in even if Manchester City win their court case

Been checking the Times for Samuel's take and it was worth the wait. An excoriating article which lays bare the hypocrisy and double standards at play. It's the premier league who should be in the dock, not City. Oh wait!

Ahead of the hearing, the media ran away with this, misrepresenting a simple challenge to the APT rule, and the timeline. The end of football, abolishing FFP, carte blanche to spend, only two clubs will be able to compete, end of democracy, City will do what they want if they are successful, it will help their 115 case, etc etc.

Bet you though, if City do win this, the same people will be quick to tell us - the only thing this affects is the very recent not yet implemented APT rule, City still have to answer 115, they still have to abide by FFP, they can still be guilty and relegated, nothing really changes it is just one small rule change they have removed. Etc.

Is there anyone on here that has experience of FOI requests as it would be worth knowing if the arbitration process has been used before without leaks.
