City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

You'd think, having been told their rules were unlawful the PL would show some contrition and negotiate a way forward. Instead they are doubling down. To me, that only proves what we've known all along this is not about acting in good faith, this is "personal" against City.
Similar to the Leicester stuff, they lost and rather than leave it or say fair enough they put out a statement saying they were disappointed with the panels ruling.

Shitesters from top to bottom.

Masters has a few choices…
Very nearly posted 3 or 4 I would possibly regret posting in about a minute..

He has choices though.

He should now stand up, hand the money back, and admit he/ the PL have acted inappropriately, and withdraw the allegations.
He can then shrink back and get on with his life.

Guess the PL have tried to implement the same rules, just called them SPR instead of PSR.

The PL needs some better lawyers.
They have very good lawyers.

The PL just keep ignoring them.

To me this is the crux of the matter. The red shirts not the lawyers are running the show.
Lawyers is such a yank term, Solicitors/Barristers can advise the PL, the PL do not and have not listened to them.
That's why they are in this mess

Here's the link to the Times article without a paywall:

It includes some direct quotes from the Cliff letter

In his letter, Cliff writes: “Man City is strongly in favour of robust, effective and lawful regulation of related party transactions. Several of the APT rules have been found to be unlawful. The legal effect of this is — we say — that the APT regime is void and importantly the previous RPT (related party transactions) regime, that the APT regime superseded, remains in force until any new regime is agreed.
“In the meantime, common sense dictates that the PL [Premier League] should not rush into passing amendments — particularly ones which entail material legal risk — until the PL knows the outcome from the tribunal. It is important that a new regime is grounded in rules that are fair, considered and legal. Our strong desire is to avoid any future costly legal disputes on this issue and so it is critical that the PL gets it right this time round.”
Cliff says there are three key issues to consider, with the first being that the “proposed rules are unlawful”. He says the Premier League’s response to this claim “does not allay our fundamental concerns that the proposals are not legal”.

It's worse than that. Despite legal advice they are appealing the Leicester ruling. They are wasting money on an appeal their own legal team have said they won't win.
It's strange how little publicity has been given to this. ( no it isnt)
It isn't just the red shirts calling the shots, it is a group of people, officially called the Premier League refusing to accept they are wrong.
It's like a Gentleman's Club refusing to accept women as members. The law says it is wrong but the club do not accept they have to abide by laws not made by themselves.

I guess the IC was relying on the PL acting professionally and with integrity after the judgment.

More fool them!
Certainly the IC allowed them to continue making rules presumably trusting them to do it legally.

Seems this is part of the process where the PL is distancing itself from its own Panel.
If the PL cannot properly conduct its own business they are simply unfit for purpose.

The premier league were warned, if reports are to be believed, at what would happen if they continued to constantly hound us with charges. Didn't Khaldoon say they would tie them up in the courts for years if we had to?
Didn't Khaldoon say he would rather spend £50 million on the best lawyers rather than take another hit.
You are correct they were warned and I don't believe their own lawyers didn't warn them of the risks.
This is Little England standing up to the American owned cartel.
Well, with a little help from the Sheikh;-)
Come on City.
