City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Never regret making a point or asking a question. If we don't, we won't learn anything ....
Thanks mate. I continue to learn but am frankly not needing to be up to date these days.
Great to see you and Stefan exchanging logic with legal process.

Good to see Stefan inch by inch educating the media at the same time as Lord Pannick is defeating our enemies.

Keep up the good work my friend.

Benefit yes. Unlawful benefit not sure. I’m not sure how the law would work in this situation. Fairness dictates no retrospective punishment in my view (not a legal view per se more what is objectively equitable in my opinion). But as I have said I think the mitigation would save any punished clubs

I could create a legal imbalance- one team having sponsorship restricted because it’s being judged as ‘related’ when under International Accounting Standards it’s not while another team has hundreds of millions in loans - that are clearly from a related party but for two of the three years of the PSR calculation these are ignored…. By any measure that does not feel even handed. As Martin Samuel has said you can’t get any more Associated than a cozy loan from your owner….

I wonder how long Arsenal have been enjoying those huge shareholder loans. Does it go back as far as the days of Arsene Wenger, the man who invented the phrase "financial doping" in relation to City?

Arsenal are the club which brought in employee benefit trusts to avoid paying tax for the likes of wenger.

So where do we go from here/ Well first is to speed up the PL panels deliberations, we can pretty much ignore their claims of independence, as they lied about the need of APT rules They hope City will take their offer, so the PL can dilute their costs to about £7 million a team. The next is to see the sports minister about the aggressive PL statement the PL released, in relation to City stopping the PL acting illegally.. From there we go to UEFA the PL governing body to ask them their view on the, unauthorized illegal rules that the PL have brought in, which are draconian and not supportive of all members, but most importantly, can not be governed or policed in a way, that stops the APT rules from being used in an illegal racist religious way, as already proven. All this while encouraging sponsors to sue the Pl whether it be City`s Newcastles or Villas.
