City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Would be very interested to see what the borrowing costs are of clubs of this size, there's absolutely no way that a large Corporation is paying 'market rate' to borrow ~£100m, certainly not the rate that your average Joe would be borrowing money at.

I'd imagine most clubs can borrow money at incredibly low rates, with various covenants in place to cover the lender.

Happy to be corrected, I just don't see businesses of this size paying those levels of interest.
Football clubs are high risk so come with larger interest, unless you're United, Liverpool, Arsenal or Spurs.

Not sure how true that is?

They can use stadiums etc as collateral so not sure how they'd be classed as high risk

Lenders could stipulate through a covenant that they're first to be paid out etc

Also, United have a financial Beta of 0.66 which is very low risk

If you rely on commercial lenders that specialise it seems in loaning money to football clubs like MCKENZIE ( spelling) who in effect take a charge over future income such as gate receipts, TV revenue, and transfer income then we have a realistic measure for clubs like Leicester & Everton .
You then have another example where the likes of Spurs consolidated all their borrowings which included stadium build costs and day to day cash flow debt where they were able to secure a rate of less than 3%
However if you rely on high street banks where you are probably talking about 6-10% then that’s a whole different matter.

I can’t find 1 article so far on the news from last night.
The PL has been well and truly beaten.

Any decent journalist needs to question how and why the PL, with its army of lawyers would push through illegal rules. Allowing certain clubs an unfair advantage through interest free loans which specifically discriminate against clubs with Muslim owners.

This also completely fucks up the PL claims of victory and shows city were open and honest with everything they said in regard to this case.

If Lord Pannick had dropped a pen whilst delivering his closing statement had been leaked it would be plastered all over the news.

Yup, a city win totally whitewashed out of history. Our media are like big brother rewriting truth.

And I believe any win we get in the 115 case will get the same treatment.
I don’t think they will do the same with the 115.
They will still behave like we’re the pantomime villains.
We won’t have won because we’ve done nothing wrong.
Our expensive lawyers will have got us off and the dirty oil money has bought us off.

But if we win, fuck it and hope city go after them all for defamation over the last few years.

I'm lost but I think this is correct.... if not i give up....... This tweet late last night from slbsn is not reporting what I thought.
The tribunal have not made any new ruling.
Slbsn is just stating that the Premier League have published their new rules and the FA have agreed them.

Am I right ?

Yes, nothing to do with the tribunal (directly anyway).
