City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

I would say that state-owned organisations from the same country as the owners (e.g. state airlines, banks, telecom companies) are no longer classified as Associated Parties under the APT rules.
The compromise agreement will cover such matters in detail. Whether it will ever be published I don’t know.

I know how strident Khaldoon has been about this fight, but this settlement, to me, makes an agreed upon resolution fo the 115 seem more likely. Probably one where we take a slap on the wrist for the lack of cooperation charges and are cleared of the bigger stuff. Just a guess from an American lawyer.

I tend to agree. It's hard to believe that there wasn't any outside conversations relating to the 115 when this was being thrashed out.

Exactly what I was thinking. It’s pretty inconceivable that we would have agreed to a settlement in this case of we were about to be found guilty in the other

Conceivable, if you are about to lose both.

Not saying I think that is the case, just that it isn't inconceivable.

This has to be a positive because I see no other universe where we would settle with the prem. We was going all guns blazing and rightly so. Whilst I am being called a rag for not thinking Levey leaving was 115 related, I might win some big blue points here by being very positive in the long run. Up the bastard blues

It's going to upset lots of the red cartel fans. Reading the BBC it reads as we have settled with the PL and now accept the rules. Nothing about the Etiah deal being blocked and now let through. Wait till they find out its the PL who settled with us and now we can get fair value

They can't put anything in a settlement on this that gives certain clubs certain rules. The rules can only change with a vote. The concessions were probably over fees and perhaps a promise to propose certain amendments but also possible City got where they wanted to get to on Etihad anyway.
